I'm having a grand time with it. Though it did take about 7 hours for it to really click for me. It's probably this decades Skyrim: incredibly buggy, but incredibly fun. I will say though that it's nowhere near as fun as Skyrim and at least 4x buggier.

Loving the game. Dunno if itll have the staying power that Skyrim has in the gaming zeitgeist though.

Skyrim is a common game for common people. Cyberpunk won't have the same broad appeal despite deserving it.

Hes not wrong. As far as actual gameplay goes theres a lot more complexity and options in Skyrim. Cyberpunk doesnt even have any system for NPC ownership of items so you can rob them blind right in front of their faces and they have no reaction

Like anything CDPR has done isn't also mainstream for common people. It's basically a meme to shit-talk Skyrim at this point.

I'm guessing that's not true. Skyrim is about as simple as it gets gameplay-wise.

I mean there are no stats, a very basic perk system, combat is left hand + right hand attack, spell, or shield. You don't even need to read quests because there's always a marker pointing directly where you need to go. NPCs are as dull and nondescript as could be. I actually love the game for its simplicity. Sometimes you gotta Keep It Simple Stupid.

Speaking of, there's a mod for Skyrim that lets you bone up and down in real time and watch your junk flop around with physics. Bet you can't do that in Cyberpunk.

Theres as many stats in Skyrim as in cyberpunk, probably more actually. If youre talking attributes then that is different.

If you wanna talk weapon simplicity Cyberpunk gives you the option of one gun or a melee weapon.

Cyberpunk also has markers for every quest and actually shows you on the map all spawned dynamic events and points of interest

and if you wanna talk NPCs then Cyberpunk is about as bad of a recent example as you can find. In Skyrim every NPC has scripted behavior and actually has a routine and a place where they live in the world. In cyberpunk the generic NPCs literally stop existing if you stop looking in their direction for more than a few seconds

Doesn't Cyberpunk have four stats that do a number of things when increased? Skyrim only has Health, Magicka and Stamina.

Don't know how guns work in Cyberpunk. Do they have multiple stats, and can they be modified? Idk. Skyrim does have smithing and enchanting, so maybe it wins that department.

Skyrim doesn't show anything on the map except location markers. I would say Cyberpunk wins there for showing more interesting events on the map.

I was mainly talking about NPC appearance and personality. But yeah, Skyrim might win for NPCs having schedules and dynamic AI.

I haven't played Cyberpunk, but I maintain that Skyrim is a very simplistic game. I don't mean that in a bad way at all.

What system?

If it's on the PS4 or Xbox One, then it's nothing more than a complete and total joke. PC and the PS5/Xbox Series X is the way to play it (even if the game is just running in backwards compatibility mode so far on the latter systems, due to extreme performance boosts).

I've done a lot of tinkering with the Creation Kit so I know it's a complex game, but every game is complex. In terms of gameplay, especially compared to other action/RPGs, it really is simplistic.

What other games would you say are more simplistic? Maybe we're working with different definitions of simplistic here because I don't mean it as a negative. It's really the type of game that you're supposed to get immersed in and roleplay and I think that necessitates simplicity.

I mean Id call most jrpgs like final fantasy more simplistic because youre so limited in what you can actually do. Really Id put most RPGs into that category. Having more numbers on the screen doesnt mean theyre actually a complex game to me.

I think Id actually have a tougher time naming RPGs that I consider more complex than something like Elder Scrolls type games.

a lot of MMOs I would say fall into that category. Just because theyre so massive and have so many crafting systems and places for players to explore along with so many different builds available for characters.
