I'm in the same boat, I've been visiting a psychologist and tomorrow I am seeing a psychiatrist to get started on medication.

I am treading very carefully here, because there is a thin line.

Being bordeine lazy and stuck in a rut aren't the same thing as being depressed. While being stuck with a job you don't like/hate can be depressing, but it is not a depression. This is why I said that I fully believe Phil being down, but not depressed.

I am just being sketical, because, well.... it's Phil. I always take what he does with a grain of salt.

Of course. There is really no way to know. Do I think HE thinks he suffers from it? Yes. I don't think it's a lie he's made up or anything. He should talk to a doctor, I think it would help him.

And best of luck to you. It's been helping me one day at a time, but the meds take about a week until they start working properly. One day at a time.

This clip PERFECTLY captures Phil's way of thinking. He is enjoying the game (or so he says), and in my humble opinion that is the only thing that matters, but Phil correlates enjoyment with money he makes and extrapolates that given to his viewers. In his mind, if people aren't giving him money, they must not enjoy the game.

Doesn't have anything to do that people aren't made of money, or that we are in a global pandemic (so money is tighter), or the fact that people CAN enjoy something without showering you in money.

Also, if you look at his streams for the last few months, you can see that the majority of tips/gifted subs/cheers come for about 90% from 3 different people.

Any time Phil is stuck at a low tips number, it just means that a whale hasn't shown up. But he blames his other viewers for not "stepping up".

Phil keeps saying it's not about money, that he doesn't talk about tips, but the second the tipsgoal isn't met he makes it alllll about tips.

You would think he'd figure it out by now that people being "bored of the game" is more on him being boring as a streamer than anything else. You could also tell he was stalling big time, in hopes that one of his whales would come in at the last moment to tip him big. He was clearing stuttering a lot and fidgeting, too.

Oh Phil HAS been in contact with the police, even though he wasn't going to. He had been "instructed".

I wonder if part of that instruction was to talk about it publically online. Because I honestly doubt anyone in a public service function would suggest you engage a stalker or insane asshole. But hey, what do I know.

Again, I don't approve of people sending shit like this to anyone, including Phil. But you can bet your ass he will milk it for every penny he can.

I don't believe in coincidence. Never have, never will.

But just for the sake of argument, lets assume this death threat is 100% real, and some crazy person is out to get Phil. Literally THE FIRST thing Phil did was the thing he was instructed NOT TO DO: post it on Twitter. Doing this could endanger himself.

Phil's actions alone make seriously question what is going on. Secondly, as stated, it happens just after a "slow" week of tips. Phil is known to lie in order to make money. Like hiding a cat, using taxes to get money, so he could fly Kat across the country.

And just tonight, even though he said last month he was caught up, he owes backtaxes again.

All the pieces are in place for a pitty party begathon. A death threat and an immediate need for money.

But back to taking it serious for a second, what kind of person receives a death threat and goes "oh by the way, I need money"?

2 smaller things I also noticed yesterday:

Phil wishes he could be more flexible. But his schedule gets in the way. I... I just can't with this asshole. The schedule, that only HE has ownership over. He is the only one in control. This is not a 9-5 job, where you have a contractual obligation to show up or get your ass fired. If you fucking want to be more flexible, just adjust your own fucking schedule.

I can only suspect he does this to validate himself, so he can feel like a big boy, more important than he is.

Secondly, he is now claiming he works more than 8 hours a day. First of all that shouldn't fucking matter if you love your job. I have never ever heard anyone complain making too much hours doing something they love. Because if it something you love, you don't see it as an obligation anymore. I doubt anyone practicing their hobby sees it as an obligation.

But if you look at his Youtube channel, he uploads between 4-5 hours of actual gameplay per day. And anywhere between 1-2 hours of prestreams.

Now, lets say that the gameplay is him actually doing his job, then you can use that comparison to say that the pre-stream is just him "socializing with collegues", since he is not doing his "job". And that is not even taking into consideration all the breaks he takes.

On average he "works" 5-7 hours per day but wastes about 1-3 hours doing fuck all (breaks included here) meaning he works part-time at best. Because this averages out at about 4 hours of actual productive time. And I am not even going to include all the time he wastes verifying tips.

He bitches and moans and tries to make himself look more importsnt than he is, trying to claim big boy working hours trying to validate himself through his iron schedule.

I have never seen any other streamer quite like Phil.

Phil just cannot comprehend why people don't like a game they liked watching the other day. The idea that he's the boring one doesn't stick with him.

Also, Phil is laying the groundwork for another "viewer's choice" event. He wants to be limited to retro games he's already played and let everyone know he would like to play Chrono Trigger.

He wants people to pay for an event to play a game that he likely would have played anyway. And regardless of votes, he will play CT as it stands.

He hated that people voted for games he hasn't played yet and is loathing to play Divinity.

This is how scummy he is, getting people to payin order to "choose" a game from a list HE makes, only to override what people pick and play what he wants anyway and beg for money during that game.

It basically says that he wants more money during Fenyx or else he'll quit the game.

Phil ended up getting his wish, he got an 80 dollar tip during the game. (Which is screwed up, because it is just a single person, even though there are about 300 people in his chat).

Phil was of course happy about this, even though he stopped playing for about 10 or so minutes to verify the tip.

After all was said and done, someone in the chat said that the person who tipped the 80 dollars saved the game. Phil corrected this by saying that the games he plays aren't about the contributions.

He is such a disgusting fuck.

Apparently someone was being racist in the chat and they were calling him out because moderators weren't doing anything about it and Phil just went off on them for "derailing". It was really weird.

Phil just keeps getting scummier.

He got a 66 dollar tip, hounded the person who tipped him for a good 30 minutes as to verify the tio. After it was finally verified, the tip wasn't added, the leaderboard wasn't updated and no glasses/vest.

After backlash he put on the platinum vest for the last few minutes of the stream. Now the platinum vest isn't elligible next time. Which works out for Phil, since he hates that vest. He also didn't add another tip since he confirmed it to be fake.

It's funny, Phil always foccuses on money he doesn't get, or things others get. Rather than being thankful for what he does get.

He is never happy (actually happy) to receive a 100 dollar tip, but he gets upset as fuck over a 1 dollar chargeback (focus on what he doesn't get). He isn't thankful for the people who give him money, rather upset at people that don't give him money.

He also stated once again that people shouldn't waste money tipping big streamers, because they already make bank, but rather smaller (him, hint hint) streamers (focus on what others get).

Phil also spends way more time on his detractors, than he does actual fans. His entire stream last night was a complete shitshow. He couldn't put on the vest, but he could bitch long enough after being killed, spawn and being killed again while not playing.

DSP created such a horrible environment for himself that he spends more time verifying a tip from someone than actually creating meaningful content for his viewers. He is so paranoid that every single person is going to chargeback. It's both quite fascinating and sad at the same time.

Pretty boring night of Street Fighter, Phil farming newbies until one guy totally bodied him and he lost his mind for like 10 minutes. Then Gojitenks finished off the Mt. Gout eruption and he flipped out on Goji as well. Hilarious stuff.

I wouldn't say he is bad, but he is far from good.

As much as Phil loves to hate on "pattern" players, he really is one himself. Look at his Marvel vs Capcom Infinte or Injustice 2 for example. He figures out one basic combo and spams it the entire match. It will carry him to an extend, and then he plateaus. He is then matched with people of equal or better skill, and it takes them no effort to figure out Phil's combo and counter it.

This is where the salt starts flowing. Phil has no creativity. He expects character X to do Y and follow up with Z. If at any point Phil's opponent breaks away from that, the bitching begins. All the usual excuses come out, but not will he (or can he) adapt to the playstyle of his opponent.

Phil's most hilarious excuse to me will always be the "that doesn't work offline". Bitch, when is the last time you played ANYONE offline?

Gojitenks is honestly a good player, and Phil could stand to learn from him (and others), but aslong as he can't admit to his faults (and not just gaming), he will never improve.

This is what his actual legacy will be.

Phil will not be remembered for being a fun interactive streamer, someone who faced adversity and still made it through, someone to look up to.

Instead, he will be remembered for all the horrible/stupid shit he did. Pouring grease down the toilet, his anti-semetic Dead Space 2 stream, that he masturbated on stream, and most of all, just how much he sucks at video games.

This is (I theorize this), why he is trying to chase so much clout on Twitter. His blue checkmark makes him believe he has some kind of relevance. But every time a tweet goes "viral" (i.e. has more than 100 likes) and there are people new to Phil, they always seem to know the memes like "it's the guy".

It doesn't matter anymore what Phil does, what happens on the internet, stays on the internet. But if you look at other people who got burned, they bounced back. Usually because they have some goodwill. Phil does not. He will be remembered for being a scammer who sucks at what he does.

He already is lying again about his taxes, speaking about taxes. In December he said he was all caught up, and now he needs money for taxes again. It's always the same, he will never change. And this is why people will never see him differently: new year, same Phil.

He was stalling Yakuza soooo fucking hard. Sucked at CoD, complained about spyplanes giving his opponents and unfair advantage while playing a class that is immume to them (the ghost). Still claims that the killcam is wrong, and how that didn't happen on his screen.
