In a stunning hypocritical turn of events: Phil has refunded Cyberpunk 2077.

Mr. Chargebacks has charged back a game. BUT, he will continue to keep playing it until the game has been removed from his library. He literally has no shame. Yes, he had a few hiccups during his gameplay, but the game is nowhere near unplayable for him. Is he also gonna refund the people who gave him hundreds of dollars while he played the game?

Phil is more than happy to pocket money gained by lies, and cries poor when people charge back money. But when he does the same, it's under the guise of being a consumer advocate, because the game is broken. All that happened was that his settings got reset a few times. The game is completely playabe and apart from a few minor issues the game is perfectly playable. But now Phil got to play for free, got to make money while doing it while also constantly shitting on CDPR and pretending to be some kind of heroic consumer advocate.

The hypocrisy of this man knows no bounds.

Now that is a fantastic question. Someone on KF was wondering the same thing, so they made a tally and I shamelessly copied it:

He's made at least $543 on the playthrough in public-facing tips ($129 + $76 + $65 + $59 + $56 + $58 + $100).

Bear in mind that this is tips only. This doesn't account for cheers or subs received, which means the total amount of money exceeds the 543 dollars mentioned.

So with refunding he still made over 480 dollars playing CP2077, which is over 8 times the cost of that game. Now he just got the 60 dollar investment back, because he is a hypocritcal douchebag and probably will make even more money, because he stated he will keep playing the game as long as he can till the license gets revoked.

He is such a fucking disgusting person.

Kat has him by the balls. We might think she's innocent, but this screams extreme insecuity in a relationship, and anyone acting like dsp has has no business pursuing marriage. You aren't supposed to walk on egg shells with a partner. He's supposed to be a narcissist, but they are fragile - what if he got emotionally abused? I won't go digging, but people have alluded to her having "issues"...Kiwi is so fucking scary.

He also kept saying it was "bad writing". Compare this to his appraisal for Bugsnax. Unless it isn't meant for a 5 year old, it's "bad writing".

I honestly believe Phil has trouble grasping concepts like intimacy, vulnerability, warmth/security and everything in between.

In the past he acted like a 12 year old when boobs were on screen (MGS3 for example), and he was like 30 back then. Now it's all "I have a wife" and how "he doesn't need" to do romancing in games.

Though his behaviour has changed, it stems from the same origin: he has massive intimacy and interpersonal connection issues. Whether it makes him uncomfortable or he just doesn't get it and acts the way he does, is irrelevant.

Phil cannot feel, let alone express, love for anyone. I don't mean this as an insult, but narcissists strugle with this and things like empathy/sympathy. It's also why he can never get attached to game characters and feel with them (like Clemetine in The Walking Dead, when she waa stiching her arm and Phil laughed like a maniac because she was in pain), or recently gloating in OP Seats going under and reveling in the fact that people lost their job.

I don't agree that streaming is easy. If it's being done recreationally then yes I agree is easy and can be done lazily, or if your DSP it's easy because you are barely putting in an effort. But making a job and building up an audience and a brand and finding the success takes some kind of combination of personality and skill. Someone is still putting hours of their time into something beyond its basic function. Not to mention it can be exhausting managing and dealing with the fan base, and if you're a woman, most likely more mentally draining given too many guys will want to make you their wife

I am sure he refunded it, but Phil being a man of principles, will continue to play the game till the moment the license gets revoked.

To make things even better, he has also said that he will buy the game again in the future when it is fixed. He could also drop the game for now, wait for a patch or two and pick it up again.

But because he is the greediest asshole on earth, he will refund it and buy it again, so he short term has an extra 60 dollars.

I don't even think sub gifts can be refunded, from either side, so there is money down the drain for Dan that could have went to someone far more deserving of it. It's not his fault, since he didn't know about Phil's "legacy." You have to say it's pretty damn bad when a bigger streamer publicly apologizes to his fans for raiding you and gifting subs to your channel. If that isn't a wake up call, then I don't know what else is, but Phil will continue doing the same shit over and over. He won't learn from this and will continue being toxic.

Phil really doesn't think before he speaks.

Someone suggested that Phil pick a new tips goal, since he often takes off the vest. So a new goal coukd remedy that.

This was followed by Phil ridiculing the person who suggested it, coupled with a bald faced lie that he NEVER takes off the vest. And then he started checking off all the times he DID take off the vest, becausr it gets too hot and irritating.

Phil is talking about blowing up his MineCraft world for charity. No fuckinh clue what to make of this. But according to Phil this is so unprecedented, that this alone should offset the negativity of doing it publically.

Phil said he'd stop playing Ice Age if someone tips him 15 dollars. He is literally holding his chat hostage over 15 dollars, saying that his viewers really must want Ice Age, since their actions (nit giving Phil the money) say that they do. He isn't even subtle about it anymore.

Also, for a little perspective. Phil was bitching not getting the 15 dollars for the Ice Age game while already sitting on +200 dollars in tips. He ended up rage quitting the game. His viewers actually held out not giving him the money. This was a surprising turn of events.

Make no mistske though, Phil ended up with well over 400 dollars in tips, and true to form he also started his Christmas marathon with chargebacks and that he was in the red.

He also skipped Zombie mode on CoD and went straight to multiplayer.

I am 99.9% sure this isn't a gimmick. This is just who he is.

It's pretty clear he hates what he does, but he loves money more than he hates games. This why he has such long pre-streams. The longer the pre-stream, the less time he has to spend playing games.

Well I don't mean gimmick per say as in he's taking being an asshole, I mean more like... I guess the reason he has such a huge fan base that literally pays his way through life.

I'm thinking it's some sort of irony that if he was a good dude he wouldn't have gotten a dime and be lost in the shuffle of other wannabe streamers.
