Probably worse. The production values have gotten better since then.

The acting in that particular season is god awful. Only recent ranger series I enjoyed was mega force I think.

Acting is the same, although it seems worse cause they keep sticking dumb characterizations onto the main kids. The original cast worked especially well because they were all genuinely athletic, and wore things real teens of the time would wear. None of this weird ascot shit.

Honestly I thought Mega Force had the worst acting of the Neo-Saban era. Especially Andrew Gray who played Troy (Red Ranger). Some people have videos ranting about how bad he was.

and all the characters wore the same clothes in every episode.

Idk about Ninja Steel, but iirc the Mega Force actors were actually told to dumb down their acting. So it might very well be intentional.

acting in power Rangers has always been jank, but it was serviceable post Zordon until Saban Brands bought the franchise back. >_>

Tbh, I feel like the focus more on the attractiveness of the actors instead of their acting abilities nowadays.

Then again, Lost Galaxy was my favorite season just because Leo kept on ripping off his shirt >_>

I'm a sucker for fan service when it comes to rangers. I loved the morphing grid explanation up bring back old suits. And I loved the base pirate inspired suits.

Varies by season. There was a while they were very invested, for some reason, in doing almost exclusively new footage for everything but the Zords. Samurai brought it back to using mostly sentai footage, though Super Megaforce has to do more of a mix since they decided to keep using the Goseiger suits even though it's adapting Gokaiger.
Haven't watched it yet, but apparently Ninja Steel gets hated on for being almost the exact show as its sentai counterpart, so I imagine it uses a lot of sentai footage.

Pretty sure most of that crossover special aside from the fight that only had the Ninja Steel rangers was entirely Power Rangers footage

usually the suit actors arent the same as the character actors. (I cant think of any exceptions but their might be)

In fact until relatively recently, in Sentai, most of the female Rangers suit actors were all men.

MMPR Season 1 is still my overall favorite. Great characters, zords, and music. It's counterpart Zyuranger is great too.
