If this is true, it is the most exciting news to me so far because of what future possibilities this entails.

Stuff like this makes me care less and less about the movie let us be surprised instead of announcing everything

It is unconfirmed, but yes, I saw this in passing on Reddit as well.

I knew that all the avengers characters would be back in the end, but it didn't ruin my excitement to see it on the screen. That's how I look at it. But of course it does take away from how it would have felt to be surprised in the theater.

It would have been a pretty huge surprise though. So far I'm more hyped for this than all of phase 4 though.

Vincent D'Onofrio pushes hard to continue playing Kingpin. I hope this opens an opportunity for him.

Currently all this stuff about Spider-Man: Homeboy is leaks, not announcements.

That's how I feel about games. I don't need to know every feature, and see previews of every level before it's even out. Let the damn game surprise me.

Fuck yes. Daredevil, Punisher, JJ, and LK were the gems in the Netflix marvel miniverse. Ironfist and Defenders were the weak links... but overall the mesh was really good.

After infinity war, I have faith that the whole Defenders crew can be brought into the MCU pretty easily, and if they can shore up the ironfist and Defenders side of the equation, I'm all in.

The battle of NY always sat oddly with me because you couldn't tell me with a straight face that the F4, Spidey, Defenders, and X-Men wouldn't have literally cleared the benches under the circumstances. Even Kingpin, half the X-Men's rougues and the Sinister 6 would have fielded their entire roster against a Chitauri invasion under the circumstances. Even Stark dropped the ball if the entire suit roster wasn't blasting shit on autopilot...hell, unless Deadpool and half the X-teens were off-world I can't imagine Xavier was just twiddling his thumbs in Westchester. I get how the Guardians, Captain Marvel, and quite a few others may have been absent at the time...but

I hate retcon footage the way Star Wars did things with Anakin's Force Ghost...but once the entire Marvel Roster comes home to roost the way Strange was retconned into the BoNY, there's a whole lot of 'splaining to do for where Spidey, the Defenders, X-Men, F4, and several dozen chaotic neutral rogues were when the Chitauri showed up.

Yeah, Castle could have been healing up in a cabin in Montana at the time. Kraven could have been chasing Wendigo in Alaska. Namor might have been dealing with a kraken at the time. Deadpool might have been stroking Death's hair. most of the 2099's were well, in 2099 at the time.

But there were several dozen marvel characters that were disturbingly absent at the BoNY as pictured in the MCU.

you can't tell me johnny flame and storm weren't doing potara dances at 10k' while parker was making web nets to stop the tops of building that hulk was ripping off and throwing into open air fell. You can't tell me THING wasn't tossing Chitauri out of the air while Cage strangled them to death...

You get the point.

I think Kevin Feige has been pretty good about how to introduce characters pretty seamlessly. Now that they're introducing the multiverse through Doctor Strange's next movie and most likely the WandaVision show, I'm hoping that they are able to bring these characters into the picture without it feeling too forced. Like you said, I like how they showed that the Ancient One was actually there during the BoNY the whole time. She was just off screen busy doing her own thing. I think they also did well with weaving in Spider-Man, Vulture, and Shocker after the fact and making it feel natural (Obviously with some plot holes). The Netflix Defenders hadn't established themselves by that time yet so I can forgive it that they weren't there. I just want to fast forward to the end of next year so I can see all these shows and movies coming up.

The real problem with "Wandaverse" is that you're forced into house of M and the whole "no more mutants!" Thing while they're still trying to catch up to why Xavier didn't send the blackbird with literally the entire school on a field trip the second Loki showed up talking shit...

Yeah, the only way I could see mutants being a thing in the MCU is if there is a merging of dimensions or they come into existence now. I wouldn't want them retconned. There is no way to avoid major plot holes with that one.

It's more likely they'd do the opposite of "No More Mutants"
