I like Tom Holland as Spider-Man and would like to see him get a film where he just gets to be Spider-Man without carrying the baggage of other films (as he has already done twice). Spiderverse worked in part because we got to see a number of interpretations of Spider-man different from what we traditionally see. Not three mostly-the-same characters try and one up each other. It's possible it will just be a cameo, but given that news like this has been breaking for months now, it seems like more than that. Would much rather see an MCU take on Doc Oc or GG rather than bringing back old versions.
