Something happened?

Preordered something. Item has been delayed twice and is now on backorder, yet they keep opening up more online orders when they can't even fulfill the ones they have now.

Ordered something for pickup and it wasn't even the same item shown on the site (ended up keeping it anyway because I still wanted it and it was discounted).

They get a bunch of exclusive items that they refuse to stock in-stores while letting scalpers buy everything in literal seconds.

At a certain point, a corporation becomes so large and powerful that it doesn't matter how shit they are because people will shop there anyway.

In my scenario, I'd literally pay more to not shop at Wal-Mart, except what I want is exclusive to them.

Maybe but this just sounds more like Walmart being worse at online stuff than Amazon

While this is true, it's not like shopping in-person there is any more of a pleasant experience.

But you'd prolly shop at Amazon which are more or less just as shitty as Walmart.

Not just the number of people, but the people at Walmart were nicer, too. It was a better work environment in general. Everyone just hates on Walmart just because it's popular too, but it's not the only bad place, by far. Every customer is always surprised that at Walgreens, we don't close for any holidays. Walmart, at least you can go home early on Christmas Eye, and they're closed for most of Christmas Day. The customers also surprised there is no holiday pay. Every single day at Walgreens is just an ordinary, average day. They don't close for any holidays, and you don't get payed anything special for it, either. At least Walmart did that much. Also, Walgreens offers "Wag Swag", where you can buy Walgreens-themed merchandise, so you can wear yourself as a billboard for this company, and pay for the privlidge of doing so. Meanwhile, we can't get counter scanners that work right, or any kind of halfway-decent, functioning system for the registers. You know things are bad when there's apparently a Facebook group called, "I used to work at Walgreens, and now I hate people". It's an incredibly draining company. Walmart felt far more lax with their employees by comparison to this. And I hate that everyone hates on Walmart just because, but other places, I don't hear a peep about. I fucking hate being at Walgreens. I'm not getting enough hours to make rent, but honestly, I'm actually enjoying the time away from it, and at this point, being fired would practically be a gift. Mentally, I've completely checked out of that place. Everyone there is miserable.

I used to work at Walgreens. Pay was shit (like any retail job) but it was usually fairly laid back and chill except around the holidays.

That was, until they brought in an Assistant Manager that was a complete dick but they got rid of him a couple of months after I left.

I can only speak from a customer perspective with Wal-Mart, but it's just such a depressing store to go to. Almost every one I've been to looks like an actual warehouse and I don't even bother asking employees for help with anything anymore because the few times I have, they were always either in a shit mood or otherwise unable (or unwilling) to help. I don't even really blame them either.

Target is MUCH better about this in my experience.

They're lazy because they don't want the problems that Walmart causes to be solved.

I just know way back when I worked at Wal Mart in Frozen Food, customers would ask questions about Houseware, Electronics, Home and Garden and I'd be like "hell if I know".

What kill me are the average Joes who make under $30k defending these giants as if they've ever thrown them a bone. They really think capitalism is the best way to get ahead despite them being unable to do so.

I'd say that ExxonMobil is peak capitalism.

They know that what they're doing is dooming the future of their grandchildren, and their response is to double down and drill even more.
