I hated high school. I don't trust anybody who looks back on the years from 14 to 18 with any enjoyment. If you liked being a teenager, there's something wrong with you.

• concussing myself on a halfway pulled down security gate.
• almost failing 9th grade history after a family member died and my teacher thought it was funny to be a bitch.
• the smell of burnt plastic as i walked into the boys bathroom and found people literally smoking crack.
• having to hike up 4 flights of stairs with half my weight in books because we only had 5 minutes between classes and it wasn't enough time to visit a locker that was too small to hold books anyway.
• spending hours outside because some jackass called in a bomb threat.
• spending hours locked in a class because some jackass brought a gun to school.

good memories are few and far between from my highschool.

I can relate with that. I went to a catholic high school so my experience may not be shared by many here

I liked certain aspects of highschool. Like I would say I like it more in retrospect than I did at the time.

It was OK.
I don't trust anyone whos BEST years were in Highschool though. If you peaked in HS, please stay tf away from every conversation ever.

High school was fun except junior year while applying for colleges. College was just better though overall

I miss it, didn't even have any real lasting friends but I felt like I had a purpose in going to class (even if I never did the homework) and I enjoyed the diversity and spending time with all the different social groups, it was a cool experience.
