Damn near dbz level speed of fights in cut scenes anyways. If you dont care about spoilers looks up thr fist fight scene in LR.

Noctis seems pretty OP when he goes into his "God" mode where the literal gods iirc are lending him their power. Just watch his fight with levithan

Vincent in chaos form in dirge seemed OP as well. Some of the fight scenes literally did look like a dbz fight. Also he kinda one shot punches a weapon.

Gameplay wise its probably still Squall xD. Maybe.

But he can't break the damage limit so that holds him back. But without damage limit and considering enemies level up with him? Squall has a 40 foot penis.

I feel like Cecil from FF4 deserves at least an honorable mention. He's half Lunarian and the way they make it out Lunarians are way more powerful than humans. So I'd put it as follows.
Lightning, Zidane, Terra in Esper form, Cecil as Paladin.

I believe the warrior of light actually has an edge seeing as they are literally an embodiment of hydaelin, the mother crystal. They have gone on to defeat Ascians who are literally immortal, bested the primal phoenix Louisiax who reset the world and the primal Bahamut, received the power of Hraesvalgars eye and bested a fully powered knights of the round and Nidhogg, was able to defeat Shinryu who was fused with Xenos and defeat the cosmic powered entity Omega and actually go on to defeat Hades who was an embodiment of Emet Selch and the thousand years old Ascians.

The kill list of FF14s warrior of light/darkness is insane which involves Gods, Demons and Cosmic beings which even includes beings from all the FF games and Nier automata such as the ff7 weapons, kefka, ultima from ff tactics, the warring triad, 2B and 9S, Diablos from ff8, Cloud of darkness ff3, Alexander.

The Warrior of Light/Darkness is no stranger to taking down immortal beings of power. He/she should be at the top of this list.

Edit: a lot of the enemies of FF14s protagonist are easily world busting, time changing and even dimension ripping. They would have no trouble taking on any protagonist from the other Final Fantasys. Partly because of the ongoing story in FF14 which keeps on taking the power levels of its characters to insane heights.

Based on whats seen in actual game and not speculation I think noctis is over zidane. In terms of physical capabilities anyways. Zidane is said to be stronger than kuja who does wipe the floor with the surface of a planet but yet we never see zidane beat kuja even with help.

Angels of death are capable of destroying planets. Kuja is also one.

I think part of why these newer charactera are seemingly stronger thoufh is cause its easier to make a cool spectacle of it in a cutscene with today's graphics.

They coulda had say Cecil doing some over the top stuff but with 2d sprites it just wouldnt look that cool.

With help. He also never beat who hes supposed be superior too even with help.

I interpreted that final battle to be a thing of willpower and not actual power to be honest. I could be wrong.

Can fly and single handededly took down a god he was smaller then the eyeballs of. I feel lighting still tops him as her speed is more insane than his but not having beat LR based on what ive seen he might have her on physical strength

Lunarians are busted. They're like a race of people each of who is as strong as god kefka at the minimum. They just casually use shit like meteor which was so powerful it killed Tellah when he cast it.
