It occurred to me today that there at least 40 games that I would probably like to finish but never have.....and never will. I dont have the time anymore to play them and new shit. Games come out everyday now. Nobody can keep up.

It's time to face it. The backlog is purgatory. You'll never go back and finish Valkyria Chronicles or Mafia 3 or Rise of the Tomb Raider. They're dead. You'll never finish those games

Probably won't be buying anything for a while. So should be able to catch up.

I finished my 360 backlog before getting a One and just finished that backlog before building a PC.

40 game backlog? plz.

Those are rookie numbers.

And yes I've long ago accepted the fact that I will never play almost all these games that are not even unwrapped.

i just got the platinum in VC and VC4 this past autumn
im down to about 10 games in my backlog from about 30 since the start of covid

You arent wrong i had a backlog on ps3 and traded it in still unplayed ps4 i havent touched launch title killzone yet i hopelessly procrastinate cuz my ps4 is so loud when playing games tons of games still waiting

Yeah, I still have Wii, 3DS, DS, and PS3 games to play through, and even a couple of PS2 games, but at this point, I feel I won't be going back to them. There's just too much coming out for Switch to keep up, nevermind PS4 and PS5, whichever one I get first.

It's FAR less of a commitment to watch a 2-hour movie, than it is to play a 20+ hour game (some games going over 50 hours, especially the RPGs).

I feel this way with Netflix. My backlog is 100 shows/movies. I think I just have to accept I will never get to several shows like The Twilght Zone and Stranger Things.

I bought Metal Wolf Chaos twice over a year before playing. Played it a few weeks ago. Loved it and did most things in the game.

Even if i didnt play it yet id still have only spent $19 on 2 copies.

Best thing about back log as an adult is you keep those games sealed until you want to play it. Ive got lots of ps2/3/4 Xbox/360 sealed games. Eventually that sealed copy of Silent Hill 2 and WWE Here Comes the Pain will be worth decent money.
