Season has a lot of cancelled games but I've already seen 2 really fun match ups.

Western Kentucky and Northern Iowa was really good and Kansas/Gonzaga was pretty awesome.

Gonzaga starting 5 is likely all NBA players. (Maybe not Watson. But the other 4 are kinda sure thing at this point.)

we're supposed to have a better team this year after a bit of a down year last year so hopefully we'll get a chance to show that

I'm a fan of Iowa. They are expected to be really good this year. They face UNC and Gonzaga in December. This is all relatively new to me. I'm excited.

Oh yea Iowa looked pretty good. I watched a little bit of their first game. I worry that they are too much of a Garza focused team but if your going to be focused around one player. That is the player to focus around. Dude is a monster.

Iowa is going to have one of the top offenses in the nation easily. Garza will be a huge factor in that (he's score 20+ in his past 17 or so straight games), but he is surrounded by a lot of legit offensive weapons that can take advantage of any extra attention he may receive. The concern is, and always has been, the defense. The goal is to get the defense to somewhere around 50th in the nation. At that point I can start believing this team will live up to the hype.

You don't think it's the two most impressive teams thus far?

Gonzaga beat Kansas, WV and Auburn already. No one has that kind of Resume right now.
Baylor has returned a lot of their starters from the previous year and beat Illinois who is definitely one of the best teams out there.

Like who else are you going to say deserves it? Iowa who doesn't have the resume that those two have? (If Gonzaga wins Iowa will likely be #2 anyway and will get another 1 vs 2.)
Michigan State? Their only great win is Duke and they didn't look as good as West Virginia, Kansas or Illinois so far.
Houston? They look pretty good so far but again the resume doesn't match.
Kansas? They already lost to Gonzaga. Altho they still look pretty good.

Yeah, it was a lol because the game got cancelled. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be condescending.

For the record, even as an Iowa fan I haven't really seen anything that gives me confidence in them being the #3 team in the nation. I'm waiting to see how they perform against UNC on Monday before I set any true expectations for the season.

Disappointing for sure. I think it benefits Gonzaga having it postponed/cancelled tho. I thought Baylor was going to win with Suggs Ankle being banged up.

I think Iowa will handle UNC. I don't think UNC's current team has good chemistry. They just look off. I have to think Bacot will be on Garza. I don't see Bacot handling that very well.

I think Iowa likely wont be truly be an underdog outside of against Gonzaga (if this plays I guess.) for Out of Conference.

I think the Big10 is going to be a real dogfight this year tho. MSU, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, OSU, Maryland are all going to be pretty good. Confident all of those are Tournament teams. I wouldn't put it past Minnesota, Indiana, and Purdue to be able to take it to any of those teams.

Wouldn't be surprised if Iowa had like 6+ losses by the end of the year. Still pretty confident it's a top 10 team.

Kansas State loses to Division II Fort Hays State.

Fort Hays State was 0-3. Against all DII schools. And K-State lost by 13 points.

The funniest thing about it is that it was just scheduled as a free win for them. This game literally doesn't count for FHSU. It's just an exhibition game for them. This DOES, however, go down as a loss that counts for K-State.

Man feels like forever ago KState was good enough to compete for the Big12 title. (2018-2019 so long ago.)
