Would you go nuts if it was 24 hour darkness or daylight for 2 months?

America's northernmost town in Alaska has already seen it's last sunset and sunrise for that matter of 2020 where this part of america will be in DARKNESS for 66 days STRAIGHT due to a "polar night"..and perfect place for VAMPIRES if they existed!!

4300 residents of Utqiagvik watched the sun set on their town at 1:30pm Wednesday and it won't return until January 23, 2021

By then, Joe Biden will be seated in the Oval Office and vaccines may be available and the holiday season is over

Daniella Brooks of the Weather Channel said "There are a few hours each day with enough light to see but the folks who live there have seen their last sunset of the year"

This town sits 320 miles within the Arctic Circle where all latitudes experience some length of polar night as it happens as a result of the earth tilting away from the sun during the winter

The opposite occurs during the Northern Hemisphere's warmer seasons from May to August when the sun doesn't set for more than 2 months which is known as "polar day".

These people will spend most days bundled up as temperatures plummet to single digits where people have already stocked up on Vitamin D supplements

Would you go nuts if it was all dark for more than 2 months?

It's kinda weird to give a subtle nod to 30 Days of Night like that instead of just mentioning that that's where it takes place. That's what a REAL journalist and REAL NEWS article would have done, mrduckbear.

To be honest we should be thankful we don't have long periods of darkness. Imagine the crime rates...Imagine Detroit only y'know worse.

Its fucking miserable. I only lived in anchorage and had nothing but night shifts one winter so it pretty much comes out to being the same thing.

So 66 days of night instead of just 30?

I imagine the boredom is much worse than the darkness.
