I feel like that comparison is bit overblown. That being said, everyone associated with the admin needs to be blacklisted from every holding a Government position ever again.

I hate that politics now is 80% politicians complaining about the media instead of doing their job.

I dont know what that word is, but i do see the parallels of trumpers to early hitler supporters.
The holocaust (while horrible) came later. Who knows what would happen if trump went completely unchecked.

The GOP is way closer to the Nazi Party (no "modern day" qualifier necessary) than Democrats/Biden are to socialism but that doesn't stop Rubio's stupid gusano ass from making anti-communism a keystone in his platform.

The Atlantic had a great article on the phenomenon known as Collaborationism and why it's easy to convince people to fool themselves or forfeit their values systems to eventually support such behavior

People also seem to forget that Hitler was beloved by a great many people in Germany. It wasn't like the populace he represented despised him.

Rubio posting about how CNN is comparing Trump to Nazis isn't complaining it's campaigning.

The great thing is that we live a country with relatively unrestricted internet access so you're free to get news from a lot of different outlets, even international ones.

Sort of. Hitler and The Nazi part only won 37% of the vote in the 32 election. The issue was that they then were able to form a coalition with the other right leaning party. It was much like Trump in that the people who loved him worshipped him in a cult like fashion.

As time went on and other parties were outlawed and the Nazification of Germany kicked into full gear it's hard to get a feel for how people viewed him because people were already disappearing into camps so you were hard pressed to find people who would openly say "fuck Hitler". After the war ended and the depth of the atrocities of the regime came out people were able to openly say they hated Hitler and the Nazis but we have a tendency to not believe them. Instead we see it as an attempt to escape responsibility for the war and the crimes of the regime.

I mean, I would call those 72 million people something not nice, but it isn't "Nazi".

There are alternatives we are fortunate that we don't have one news source in America.
