you can do a pseudo-Pacifist run the first time and you don't have to beat the game all over again, which is thankfully what I did

Replaying isn't too bad. The game is shorter than it seems on your first playthrough.

Did you get all 3 optional date scenes? You mentioned Papyrus's but not the other two. Just FYI when you do your pacifist run you'll need to do those. You can't miss them but you will have to backtrack for them eventually so do them as they come up so you don't waste any time.

My bad, I totally forgot about that missable. But in my defense only a monster would miss that.

As an apology another (short) time-saving tip:
If you buy an item from the spider bake sale in the ruins and hold on to it, you can use it during Muffet's fight to immediately win

Is that true for Sparing them also? Can I clear out an area of random battles that way?

Ok I got back to right outside the Throne Room but Ill save that for tomorrow.

I did the cooking lesson with Undyne this time and that was a lot of fun. She and Papyrus are a great duo.

I also got the Mystery Key this time and looked up what it unlocked. Turns out Napstablooks cousin is Mettaton! That helps me understand Dr Alphys a bit better.

I asked because I was doing the trade route back and forth from the old turtle to Temmie Village to save up for the Tem Armor and wondered if eventually Id spare enough people so theyd stop bothering me

Genocide is up to you. Even if you don't do it, though, I recommend watching a youtube video of the differences.

genocide is absolutely worth seeing but also keep in mind even if you don't do it yourself and are just watching a playthrough or looking it up you are complicit in the events of the route

so have fun with that!

Also when you get to the snow area, only kill whales. You need the extra exp.

Pretty sure your level normalizes after every boss including Papyrus.

(That's why you're always 1 XP away from Lvl 20 no matter what for Sans.)

They're a semi-secret enemy, so don't worry about. I'm also not sure you can actually fight more than one.

If you want to know, you have to spend minutes at a time walking for an encounter in the room with that locked door you can open via the credits that you asked about earlier, though actually opening that door is irrelevant.
