I can increase my download speed to 130-140mbps but my upload wont go to or beyond 10 mbps. How is that problem solved?

Upload speeds around there are typical for allot of home internet plans. If you can get fiber I think those are 1to1 u/d or find another provider that does better upstream packages.

Those are mega bits per second, not megabytes. So divide it by 10(?).

How do you live with 100 kb/s downloads? That was bad in 2008.

It's actually 8 so TC has a 125 KB/s download cap

Because 10 Mb/s = 125 KB/s
