I can tell you guys that most of the Trump die hards are buying hard into the voter fraud thing and they're hoping this goes to court and gets "exposed".

While I think things are questionable about this election like Joe getting more votes than Obama, I don't have the energy to care as much as a lot of them.

Am just telling you this coz I think it's going to go on for a long time and even if Joe gets into the white house this isn't ending. Well the reason Joe got so many votes is that turnout is way up, and turnout is way up because people have very, very strong opinions about Donald Trump. (Also on average total votes are gonna drift upwards from election to election due to population growth, though this election had the highest turnout as a percentage in a long time).

There is no convincing hardcore Trumpers of anything, sadly. You can point out how the mail in ballots favor Biden in every county, not just Democratic ones. You can point out Biden got a lower percentage of votes in Philadelphia than Hillary did largely because of Trump improving with Black voters. You can point out that Philadelphia was up 3% in total votes compared to 2016 while the whole state was up 10-11%. You can point out democrats must've been incompetent cheaters if they couldn't rig the senate or house seats. You can point out every logical fallacy you want.

They don't want logic. They want to be mad. They can't fathom their candidate lost through any method other than cheating.

Look at all the most extreme, histrionic Hillary Clinton supporters from four years ago. Look at how they behaved. Look at how crazy you thought they were. That is what is happening in reverse right now. I'm sure you can't see it because you're in the thick of it. But that is exactly what is happening. A major difference is Clinton went away while Trump is stoking the flames, making all of these people more angry and more sure of themselves.

I think his supporters will decline in both number and bluster pretty soon. Trump himself will be so pathetic on the way out (and in his life post-Presidency) that he will be difficult to defend for these people, who love him in part for his brazen displays of power and bravado (he will have none).

Anyway, why are you still associating with these people, even online? You seemed to earnestly want Bernie to win the Presidency, and fast forward a few months later, you admit to us that you're upset because the person Bernie despised - ideologically and personally - DIDN'T win. I've been over this a bunch but it comes down to, I don't think who the president is matters at all. It doesn't effect my life in a positive or negative direction and it hasn't through eight years of bush eight years of Obama and now four years of trump and that is true for every single person in this thread whether they admit it or not.

Sanders is the first candidate who seemed like he wanted to put in policies specifically to help me and it's why I reacted so negatively when the DNC grifters stole the nomination from him for two milquetoast do nothing centrist democracts.

And so armed with my belief that the presidency doesn't matter, my desire came back to wanting The Most Annoying People In The World (liberals) to be upset, which is achieved by another Trump presidency.

Hope that clears it up!

Oh and I'm over there because it's interesting to me to see how they react to current events. I "associate" with them in the same way that I associate with the loonys in this topic.

Possibly, because I'm a male citizen who owns property that's worth way more now than when I bought it. I have more wealth, opportunity, upward mobility, and power than a majority of people in this country despite me only working part-time for the past year. I'm insanely fucking lucky to have found myself in this position, and it's possible others in this topic are similarly lucky.

But it would be really narrow-minded of me to assume that just because I'm not personally hurt by this President's policies and the attitudes he emboldens, the same holds true for literally everyone else. My gf's citizenship application process was considerably more expensive (and about twice as long) as it was in the years before Trump. She was legitimately nervous that she wouldn't get it despite doing literally everything by the book. My best friend's green card application process has been prolonged by 2+ years as a direct consequence of this Presidential administration making things more difficult for H1-B Visa applicants - keep in mind that this dude is a model member of society who's spent the last several years working 12 hour days while just hoping his green card application wouldn't fall apart and lead to his deportation.

It does affect people.
