No. In some senses, they're a mix between Republicans and Democrats but in reality it's more a matter that both parties share some of their priorities although libertarians generally go a lot further. Libertarians are classic liberals (unlike "leftists" claiming to be liberals) and are pro-freedom in almost every regard. Keep in mind that libertarians are generally more pro-immigration than democrats. They also tend to be far more anti-war than democrats. And in general, democrat-vs-republican is a left-right paradigm that distracts from the rest of the political compass.

no problem. i would most likely start by sitting them down and reminding them that they have more disposable income because they are paying little to no taxes.

next i would tell them that they can pay a subscription fee for regular entry to the park, and that said subscription fee would likely be fairly cheap since the park is privately maintained, and not publicly.

It doesn't necessarily need to be made "profitable," it just needs to cover its costs. Not to mention you have housing developments where fees are used to cover public areas for residents rather than government doing the same.

And in a general sense, nothing (with the exception of donations) is ever truly free. The costs are just being shifted around.

As for betterment and wellness, it really comes down to kids playing in their yard vs going to a park. In a place without yards, a park is kind of the only option (not to mention that a park in a high density area provides a service to more people than a park in a low density area). Personally, I like the fact that parks and libraries exist.

It doesnt need to be profitable, but if you can find a better way than money to motivate more people in the real world I would love to hear it. If its gonna cost money either way then the best way to ensure it is done right is to make it so it is at least solvent

Public relations are pretty important yo. Granted, it requires citizens to actually hold themselves accountable for the places where they choose to spend their money, so you have to believe in some semblance of personal responsibility

Private roads may indeed be better maintained, they also don't have to maintain every road ever. There are going to be roads less travelled, and someone needs to build and maintain those roads. I'm fine with my tax money going to subsidize that, and not be hit by tolls on every single road I drive on.

I enjoy being able to go up far north for some backpacking, on roads less travelled. Thankfully, these roads exist because we pay taxes and the government builds them. Private companies would just let all the town's and parks die because there's no money in it.

They rarely ever repair those kinds of roads when they need work.
