Hell no, I don't want the 'rona

I haven't given out candy since I lived with my folks in SoCal. I would consider this year, but... Maybe I'll find candy-flavored condoms to give anyone dressed as Corona-chan, and that's about it. What's that? Someone wants to remark some 40-something, overweight, hairy guy is dressed as said character? He's still getting those condoms.

No. We bought candy last year but nobody came by. Not gonna bother this year.

I live in the middle of private property in a rural area on a mountain, we never have trick or treaters. We are having games and prizes for our kids though. A small Halloween party.

No because my street is dead when it comes to kids coming. Also will be too busy playing Watch Dogs Legion anyways. Most years the night for our trick-or-treat I'm working though.

I'm going to set a table up outside with a bowl of candy and sit on my front steps so I can greet trick-or-treaters and monitor so they don't just empty the bowl into their sacks

I wouldnt really call that a health risk compared to going to a workplace for most people.

I will be working on Halloween too. I doubt many of us will be dressed up this year, which is a shame. I half want to convince some others to dress up like a game of Among Us.

I disagree, you have a large number of kids moving around house to house, and kids are more likely to be asymptomatic. Transmitting it by touching the doors and being within 2m/6feet of other kids and people at the door

I always buy candy. I think we've had 2 kids in recent years, 0 last year.
I love Halloween and I like candy. If kids happen to come, they get handfuls.

We gave out candy once. Ran out of 25 dollars worth of candy in like 15 minutes, when trick or treating was supposed to last two hours. Not doing that again

We have it on hand if kids show up, but it is always hit or miss here even in normal years. Two years ago we had a bunch of kids and almost ran out of candy, last year nobody showed up.

Oh, sorry. Misunderstanding. I was talking about the international flight. Trick or treating I see being more of a health risk from reasons you mentioned.

I live in an apartment, so kids never come through here.

I am buying candy to give out only because I have decorated my house for Halloween and it would be a dick move to decorate for Halloween but not have candy to give out... That being said despite living in a neighborhood with a middle school located in it we usually have super, super low numbers is trick or treaters. Last year we had four I think. The year before, one. :(

yeah... and i spent 2 weeks in managed isolation when i arrived, and im not coming back anytime soon

No, I don't think so. We rarely get many at our house anyway since we're on the very far SE edge of town.

I don't think it's worth the risk, especially not with the anti-mask cult in my town spreading it like crazy through the area. Another one of my co-workers tested positive yesterday.

I thought it was canceled. Even though its probably pretty safe since most people may be wearing masks.

Anyway, I dont want to. The first year, I bought a bunch of candy and had one person come by. They did get a lot, though. Next year, I skipped since I only had one the year before, but had more. And a friend and I had to hide from them. After that, I was usually on swings or mods and could be sleeping or at work during those hours. Now that I work day shift, Ill probably just hide at my BFs house or something...

If we were allowed to not wear our uniforms, Id do that. I probably could have at my other job if I still worked it, though. But that does seem like a fun idea. I assume Ill probably see it somewhere this year... Maybe Ill tell my shop to do it for a party or something...
