Coyote vs. The Road Runner (Looney Tunes) "Oh, how I loathed the Roadrunner when I was a little kid! Remember that I said I used to hate Bugs Bunny because it always managed to outsmart Daffy Duck? Or Jerry outsmarting Tom? Well, The Roadrunner was 10x worse -- not only were Coyote's plans to capture him always in vain, but the Roadrunner would never, *ever*, show any sign of humility, bad luck, or lack of pretentious smile. Even then, maybe I was way too young to appreciate the sheer amount of brilliance behind each and every episode featuring the two. The amount of creativity behind each illogical and unpredictable accident against Coyote (and in favor of the Roadrunner) was astounding. A similarly comparable rivalry comes between Silvester the Cat and Tweety Bird (naturally, I used to hate the latter), but I'll stick with Coyote/Roadrunner because it's more iconic. The similarities are so much so that they even had a crossover episode featuring Coyote & Sylvester chasing the Roadrunner and... Speedy Gonzlez (yeah, Tweety can't actually run [or fly] too fast). Actually... Did you know there's a PSX game called 'Sheep Raider', in which you must outsmart Sam Sheepdog in order to steal a sheep from his flock in every stage, with the aid of Daffy Duck as the host of the show they're in, 'Sheep, Dog N' Wolf'?
