That's an interesting conclusion to draw from the polls considering many users have fairly evenly split votes in terms of likes/dislikes, while a few have majority likes, and a few have majority dislikes. You're ignoring the people who do like each other here to construct a false narrative. Why?

If you want me to be serious: I think you know you're generally disliked on this board, and some people you probably have affinity for or tend to agree with are getting largely negative votes. By claiming the whole board hates each other before your name comes up, jokingly or not, it gives you opportunity to disassociate from the fact that it's actually *you* who is disliked under the guise of it being a cultural problem of PotD. I *do* think that the culture here can be quite toxic at times, but it's not a hateful board. So stop projecting your problems onto an Internet message board, go learn and grow, and maybe instead of thriving off whatever negative attention you get here you can be friends with most the members here.

Link took that mod a while back. You need to have multiple, similar posts on page one for it to matter. The mod is massively stupid anyways, since you can track topics and view topics youve posted in if they do fall off the first page.

actually, i noticed that at best most people in general have fairly even splits if not more negative than positive. I was, of course, exaggerating when i said everyone, but its pretty clear there's a large amount of dislike flowing through here. Pretty typical of the internet i suppose. But generally people that congregate in the same spot this often probably should like each other more than 50/50 at best lol. I just think it's funny and pretty indicative of how toxic this place is, and yes, that hatred is definitely stronger toward more conservative posters here absolutely. A

Anyway, this is mostly a joke topic meant to poke fun at the ridiculousness of the whole "who likes who stuff" and if you think i made this topic because im upset that people here dislike me then you would be wrong

If you take out the spite voting from alts, the average likeability would probably be 55%+

You usually shouldn't take this things too seriously but, considering that they aren't IP-locked, you should take them even less seriously than normal.

I generally only vote in these polls if I like someone because despite how much people here may think I'm a bad person or something I'm actually kind of a softie and don't want people to feel bad, especially if it's someone who will already have a lot of dislike votes. Voting that you don't like someone seems like its more than apathy to me

In general, the moderation system now is probably the arbitrary and capricious it's ever been. And some of the things that used to be moddable stopped being modded because the mods themselves were constantly breaking the rules -- which they never got modded for -- so the rules changed to save face.

If it's a universal trend, it's probably the Aculo collective (Clark/Jonestown/LB1/FrndfrmCE and a million others) since he tends to stir the pot more than anybody. Other than Aculo and Helly, there really aren't many people who both have tons of alts and the temperament to do something like that. (Whereas several other posters have the temperament but I'm not sure that they have a lot of alts... although I guess anybody in good standing can just make a lot of alts.)

That wasn't directed at you. I have some folks here who really dislike my politics. Basically being anywhere slightly on the conservative spectrum makes you a bad person even though I'm honestly not very conservative at all

I dont think anyone is protecting them but the mods are just straight up incompetent and also mostly partisan. It's 2020 and everyone lets their politics get in the way of rational decision making. I dont let myself get worked up about the shit modding here though. At the end of the day, this is just a message board with mostly shitposting and if it ceased to exist tomorrow I would move on with my life

I will say that some people here do talk to each other off the board so it may be a possibility that some overtly lefty mod like foxx could be covering the asses of some of these obvious troll alts. I'm not sure how the modding works here but maybe certain mods can clear marked posts from the queue before other mods jump on it? Some of these guys do talk like someone is telling them something off the site

And then they parrot the lies each other tells and agree with one another, as well as claiming that they heard the lie they created from somewhere else. And in Mead's case, he's temporarily apologize, claim it was a mistake, then waits a while before repeating the same shit-- and then point out, "Oh, other people have heard it!" (from him) It's a very deliberate tactic.
