So just tell them youre not up for that conversation at the moment and go about doing whatever; why even bother to try and save face about it.. tell them you just work to distract your mind and just would wanna focus on that

lots of people get mad and its not really the fact that they wasted my time explaining whatever their ranting about, but its the fact that theyre unaware its just taking up their own time trying to tell me whatever in the manner theyre telling me whatever

This reminds me of my brother. He works at 7-11 in Baltimore City in the hood. He says the customers are animals and he hates his co-workers with a passion and feels like he's above everyone around him and shouldn't be there.

In all honesty, he put himself there. He's at a 711 clerk level of accomplishment and that's why he is where he is. He was working at 711 even before the pandemic. He takes no personal responsibility though and just stews in anger all the time

I use to compassionate. Now I just see the people in public I wanna punch in the face. Manners still come very easily for me tho. Like if I'm getting help from a retail worker, Im trying to make it as easy on them as possible and show appreciation for them assisting me. And that's cause I want to, just as much as it is that I should.

I'm gonna decide on the spot if I want to go out my way, and I might not for a petty reason and feel nothing about it. I also use to be anxious in public about stepping out of place. Now, I'm like "I think I can get away with this".

I'm too scrawny for that type of static. Plus I have an interest in people, so I'm usually genuinely interested in what they might want.

One dude on a bike asked me for money for a drink and told me his life was like American Gangster. That moment was worth the dollar or 2. I like those situations I walk away from breaking apart in my head. I basically paid for the entertainment of that.

That sounds like a Yakuza side quest. Which is awesome. Swe, that would be a memory Id cherish. I never got into something that deep tho. I'd say the closest was finding a lost crying girl at like 3am and trying to help her find her way home. And during that walk back, she told me about how her boyfriend was sleeping with her mom. Then at the end, she wanted me to go into the house while she confronted them or something and I was like "Neh, that makes me super anxious". Then I left.

I've definitely been more willing to tell guests "I need to keep the line moving" or "If you don't know what you what yet step aside so I cann help the next guest" kinda stuff or to interupt and course correct them if they are not giving me the info I need or giving irrelevant information.

But on topic, I am also starting to become a bit more of a no nonsense sort of guy. Not really being nice to anyone, but not being rude to anyone either. Nowadays, it seems as if people are testing my patience and I just started reciprocating so I'm not seen as a doormat.

As someone who use to be nice to a point I stepped on my own toes. I feel like he's referring to himself as an "asshole" by more reasonable standards. I'm projecting some tho. Cause I overstate my newfound asshole side myself.
