The only time I called the cops, it was 2am and some person was trying to lift open my garage door to get inside.

Though it takes them like 30 minutes to get here which is why i own a gun

I refused to call the police when my apartment got broken into in 2010. I was growing medically in there (against my lease; but not against the law because I live in oregon and this was 3 years before we legalized) and after I realized how much was taken, I just cut my losses and moved out of the neighborhood.

I didn't want to take a chance of either being caught up for growing federally or get evicted because of my grow.
Unless you have renter's insurance, there's really no reason to call the police. They won't get your shit back.

I saw him punch an old man in the face at a bus stop, then he walked down the street and shoved a tourist in the bushes, and got into a fight with a cop. He stabbed the cop in the chin with a screwdriver and tried to take his gun, but they were able to arrest him.

I called the cops after the first guy was punched, while like 6 people were just filming it <_<

Police here are incompetent and about 20 miles away. I have a taser and a couple firearms, if something ever happens i'll just assume I am going to need to handle it myself. I will likely call but won't see them for 30+ minutes if they even respond. A few years ago when all the wildfires were rampant and there was a big one in TN, I saw it at a distance burning toward my property and called the fire department to help me trench the property line so it didn't burn my house down. It took them nearly 2 hours to get here, and it was about 30 yards from my house. We did end the spread into this community, but fuck them 2 hours to respond at 8pm.

Last week, I looked outside at 4am and seen my neighbors car completely engulfed in fire. No one else was outside or around. I still hesitated in that moment until I heard sirens anyway.

I just didn't want to have to be involved with anything involving police.

first time was an auto accident that happened behind me. I called cuz the guy who got hit was gonna kick the ass of the guy who hit him lmao

then 2am heard shots fired a few blocks away

Unless someone is trying to break in, i ain't calling them til and maybe not even then. I got a gun so i can defend myself and my family. Just call the cops after the fact.
