This isn't one of those things where you should have to be like "we already did that". It is not hard to definitively denounce white supremacy every time you are asked to do so. And guess what. Once you do that several times without issue, people will stop asking you. Being dodgy about it just means people will keep bringing it back up.

Even if they legitimately believe the media is being disingenuous--even if he had definitively answered the question (and I don't think he ever has) a hundred times already--there's still no harm in denouncing white supremacists one more time. A simple, "Yes, I denounce them, as I have many times before, now can we move on to the next question?" would look a million times better than what they're doing. The only reason to be this defensive about it is because they don't want to denounce them.

normally I would agree about a question that asks "can you unequivocally denounce/commit to/deny xyz" but with this guy it makes sense to keep asking because he keeps raising the doubt.
