Was he right to open the door? absolutely not. But on the other side, the guy shouldn't have come to his home in the first place. He asked him to leave multiple times, didn't work. Cops were called, Boogie should have left it at that.

The real scary thing is that if it wasn't faked and Frank Hassle really laughed in his face after a warning shot was fired, then he clearly has something wrong with him.

You are completely wrong. A warning shot are very dangerous especially when fired in the air. What goes up must come down and the bullet can still cause injury or even death if it hits someone. In fact, firing warning shots is never advised in most states. People have lost their lives from randoms shooting a gun into the air.

Look at Boogies front door. He has a covered front porch. To fire his warning shot Boogie had to move out into the front yard. That means Boogie was charging forward and Frank was retreating. Thats not self defense, thats going after someone with a gun.

Boogie should have not opened the door and called the police. Opening that door gave rise to all sorts of situations we cannot account for. There are too many What if possibilities. He should have just called the police. Since Boogie wasnt sound of mind, his roommate should have took over the situation since he lives there as well.

The "warning" is the fact you're pointing a gun at someone. If you don't intend to shoot them then don't shoot.

It would have been better for boogie in he shot that dude in the face. (not saying he should have done that) but some places you will get in trouble for a warning shot. Since the logic is if you are so scared you will discharage your good, it should be life or death and a warning shows means that it isn't. (note I am pretty sure this reasoning is for FL case..so things most likely are different elsewhere)
