Cook it in chicken stock and use a smaller amount of liquid so that by the end it is mostly absorbed by the noodles, rookies.

Sometimes I'll drain the water and add in a little butter, while only using half the seasoning. Makes it similar to some Japanese spaghetti dishes.

I don't use chicken stock, but do agree about having it absorbed by the noodles. It doesn't take that long to make it that way either-- the only way there's still a bunch of water to drain is if you've only zapped it for like a minute in the microwave.

What do you mean? Do you just upend it from the pot into your plate water and all? When you make it in a cup, aren't you supposed to dump the water after?
I drain the water after cooking the pasta and also mix the seasoning packet into the noodles when they're on my plate rather than when they're in the pot with the water

I'd do that instead of dumping it out on a plate. Less dishes to wash that way.

I boil some chicken or beef stock with the seasoning packet and some more seasonings, then pour that into a bowl with the noodles and put a lid over the bowl until the noodles are cooked. Sometimes I'll throw in some leftover meat or veggies too.

i used to like to eat ramen dry as a snack. you crush it up into a bowl in bite size pieces, flick a little bit of water onto it as evenly as you can, dump the seasoning packet on it, cover it and shake it up until it's coated well with the seasoning. it was a great crunchy, salty snack.
I had a roommate in college that couldnt cook anything. At all.

He would open a ramen pack sprinkle the seasoning on top and just start chomping.

I had another that tried to make boxed Mac and cheese, he added the butter, milk, and cheese powder without draining the noodles first. So he had a giant pot of water that was slightly yellow with noodles floating around in it.

How the fuck do people like that survive.

i drain the water but then fill it back with new water, less this time, and cook it a little longer with the seasoning and an optional egg. mix a little, let it cook a little, then put it in a bowl.

This.

Also i switch it up when i eat ramen but draining the water and adding just a touch of butter to make the seasoning coat the noodles better is ramen at its finest.

you gotta use less than a full seasoning packet though.
