But I had an annoying experience with Post Mates or Doordash once. I scheduled an order to be delivered during my lunch break, and the guy arrived 20 minutes before my break started and at the parking lot across the street from ours. He said he came early because he wanted a good rating, but I'm like "dude, there's a reason I scheduled it for a certain time and not ASAP". It describes how I've called the support line too many times so they are suspicious of my activity, but in reality it's because I drive at night and a lot of my orders get cancelled due to the restaurant (Almost entirely McDonald's) not being able to make an item or closing early for no reason that night. Obviously I have to call the support line to tell them I can't get the food. What else would they expect me to do? Just make the delivery knowing I don't have the items? I can't do that in good conscience (though it would probably cover my ass). I'm pretty sure it's automated so I didn't think much of it... until today. I received another email today saying this: "We've noticed that you've called our Support team to cancel several delivery trips. Accepting trips that you do not intend to complete could indicate fraud" yada yada yada. I've completed 292 deliveries for Uber EATS. I am a "Gold" member on the Pro status system and very close to Platinum. Of my 292 deliveries I have NEVER cancelled an order that could be completed. Of my 292 deliveries I have a 100% approval rating from both customer AND merchant with only a SINGLE thumbs down because it took McDonalds too long to make the order one night so the customer gave me a bad review. Nothing I can do about that, it took me less than 7 minutes to get to his house from the store. I am totally fine with waiting obscene amounts of time in the drive'thru. Like I said it's probably all just automated, but what if some guy in an office somewhere makes a bad decision? What if I get swept under the rug because of a mistake? I'm making this post to ask if anyone else knows of anybody getting deactivated for something like this. If I'm being honest I'm kind of scared. I don't really feel accused of anything, but this is all new to me. I'm worried. Meanwhile, as honest drivers are trying to make a living. --- I don't reap the corn.
