Really didn't like him in homecoming though for some reason, his childishness and gen z-ness were much more apparent when the focus of the movie was exclusively on him. Haven't like him since. The buildup to being Iron Man jr wasn't a great take. Spiderman Euro sextrip had like one or two good parts with him but it was mostly because of jake gyllenhal. I think Tom Holland was a fantastic Spiderman, do wish they hadn't taken the Iron Man Jr. route with him and instead made Uncle Ben his role model but can't complain too much. Despite being the relatable one (i.e. a normal geek who gets powers), he's more often than not depicted as a good looking young man who's inexplicably disliked and ill-adjusted. While I'm usually not fond of that trope, Andrew Garfield did it really well. And if I'm to identify with Spider-Man, yeah, I'd honestly rather be good looking. Toby Maguire is the best actor to play Spider-Man, but he's ill-fitted.
