I knew Microsoft buying a major publisher was a possibility but I never thought about Bethesda for some reason. I think people expecting all of these games to go to PlayStation will be disappointed. They'll honor existing agreements for games like Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo (which funnily enough are timed exclusives for PS5) but unless developers have already made a commitment to PS5 I don't think it'll go there. Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online will probably still be updated on PS5. If someone is wanting to buy a console for Starfield, the next Doom, Elder Scrolls etc. they should definitely wait until those platforms are announced. It's absolutely bonkers that I won't need to buy another Bethesda game because they'll be on Game Pass. Forever. Of course the big risk is the leadership changing. Which is a risk for any large organization like Microsoft. Then things can go dire really quickly. If Xbox gains good revenue over the next few years they should be safe. It's interesting how many IP's are available to all of these studios now. Obsidian making a new Fallout is obvious.
