He doesn't want children to have to be forced to undergo hormone changes just because their parents want political brownie points on the left. In the case of transgendered people in sports having the biological advantage over the other like a man who became a woman enters into the female division of UFC and can seriously hurt the woman they are going against. There is lots of evidence that children perceive their own gender in their early years, and can also experience gender dysphoria. This isn't the fault of trans women. There are women around the world who have varying levels of hormones of which some give them the "biological advantage" you/Rogan are referring to. Should they be barred from competing as well, despite being "biological women"? This is indicative of a deeper problem in how we define what a man or a woman is, and how we form divisions in sports. If you care about the impact hormones have on athletic ability, then perhaps stipulate on that and create divisions based on chemical makeup instead of placing the burden/blame on trans people. The world isn't simple and it never was. Its complicated nature was merely masked by powerful groups intent on maintaining the status quo for a more productive society. But now we live in an age of information that has started to tear down these curtains and we're realizing how much more work we have to do to build a better society. And the prospect of doing that work and changing how one thinks and feels about what was in front of them this whole time is frightening. People like Joe Rogan likely aren't malicious in their beliefs, more so they're afraid of facing the truth and admitting that their perspective of the world was incredibly confined for a majority of their lives. Admitting you're wrong puts you in a vulnerable social state, and many will unreasonably double down on their wrongness to avoid that. But now we live in an age of information that has started to tear down these curtains and we're realizing how much more work we have to do to build a better society. And the prospect of doing that work and changing how one thinks and feels about what was in front of them this whole time is frightening. People like Joe Rogan likely aren't malicious in their beliefs, more so they're afraid of facing the truth and admitting that their perspective of the world was incredibly confined for a majority of their lives. Admitting you're wrong puts you in a vulnerable social state, and many will unreasonably double down on their wrongness to avoid that.
