Number090684 09/17/20 3:57:19 AM #16:	I was originally shaky on the 3DS and put off getting one for the first few years it was out considering Nintendo was just putting out a lot of gimmicky games or just safe, portable 3D updates to some of their long running IPs, but before the Switch finally hit it's stride in 2019 the 3DS was the best Nintendo console since the Super Nintendo. So many great first party games available for it, especially when you factor in the DS backwards compatibility and eshop virtual console. I still have my Fire Emblem Fates New 3DS XL and still have a bit of a backlog on it. Working on Super Mario 64 3D. Because of scalpers and price gouging. But I really wanted it, just to have as an extra. I already had a new 3ds xl pikachu yellow model (which I love). I'm glad I didn't wait. After that, we had the best WarioWare title (WarioWare Gold), an excellent port of Yoshi's Woolly World, a pretty solid Pokemon generation (Sun/Moon), one of the best puzzle games ever (Sushi Striker) and some other enjoyable titles here and there. If you're trying to demonstrate a system as a powerhouse in its own right, a multi-platform title like Smash 3DS where it plays better on the other system isn't going to help.
