Buying and selling goods online. Just do some research into the markets. It takes some money to start, but it snowballs.

I'll second this. I'm making like an additional $2k a month right now just from buying and selling shit from the outlets. I basically go on my lunch since it's 5 minutes from work.

I absolutely could make more if I wanted to have more stock sat in my house. The limit on profit seems to entirely tied to how much money I want tied up in stock at any given time.

A lot of the upper management I've worked for make some really good money. That said it's pretty cutthroat and you definitely need the right mentality for it

That's what I saw working restaurants. I'm at a grocery store now, but I imagine it's pretty similar, probably just less stressful.

It's really just working your way up the ladder and kissing ass where you can looking for promotions, before you get your own store to run. It's definitely not for everyone tho.

I will also say selling cars and houses can bring in the big bucks, but those mostly boil down to charisma.

be a charismatic force of nature who wills random, nonsensical opportunities into his lap, like my uncle, who once got paid to fly to India and pretend to be an executive to grant a business "legitimacy" (because that's what white and American equals over there, I guess)

Right now I'm purely selling Nike shoes. I'm sure ther s other stuff I could find to sell at the outlet but I have the shoes down to a science for the most part.

Basically I'm buying shoes for $30-80 and selling them on for $80-160+. If I buy a pair for $50 and sell for $100, it's typically $20-30 profit depending on where it's shipping to (I offer free shipping) and whether it was sold via a promotion click or not (most are). Sometimes I get super lucky and find some obscure things like yesterday I found a pair of shoes for $25 that sell for $160.

Edit: Just checked, I've had 22 sales in the last week just to give you an indication of how many I sell. I have about 60-70 pairs in the house at a given time but I've kinda just pushed up to that this week. I was at 40-50 pairs before that

How often have you had people returning them because they say they don't fit right?

Once. I list all my sales as no returns so I'm never obligated to take the return if I don't want to.

With the one return I took it was because he asked me if they fit like another style, I didn't know but told him yes. When he got them he claimed they were too big. I didn't want to risk the negative feedback as I don't have a ton so I just took the return.

Sidenote. Hardly anybody leaves feedback on ebay anymore. Probably like 15-20% of sales do.

Why are people paying so much if they could just go down to their local store and get them much cheaper? Are you basically scalping?

I assume there's a couple of reasons.

1. COVID and people not wanting to shop
2. Laziness
3. Not everyone has the same store availability near them

Like I get my stuff from the Nike Factory Store at the outlet mall and the Nike Clearance Stores. I know that not everyone has the clearance stores, there's 3 total in Florida for example (Orlando, Kissimmee, Homestead).

I'm also fairly lucky in that 1 clearance and 1 factory store are 5 minutes from my work, the other clearance store is 20 minutes from my work. I also drive past the post office enroute to work so it's like 2 mins extra to dump off packages in a morning.
