Your favorite?

I did my best for top chains, I know there is omissions, especially ones perhaps not as big in my area.

I don't eat at any chain restaurants.

Just because an artisan pizzeria uses freshly made sausage and there is a frozen sausage pizza for $1 at the grocery store, doesn't mean they are both just "sausage pizzas" and somehow equal and the same.

I do live in Ohio, which has a very high pizza place per capita. As a result we get all the chains. I did a quick Google to see if there are others outside my area, and to verify they were national. All these deliver to my home with the exception of Uno, and I have 4 more available that are unlisted.

Either Pizza Hut or Little Caesars.

I use to get them from either Pizza Hut or Papa Johns on the weekend years ago. I liked Pizza hut more, but Papa Johns had some interesting ones (Pizza Hut did, too, but it was usually limited).

But these days, I usually go to Little Caesars every week. Sometimes, I get it for myself. But me and my SO also share pretty often. He normally goes on the same day. So, we wait to meet up before going when we can. Haha.

Also, best crust I had from Pizza Hut was the hotdog stuffed pretzel crust. Which was basically salted pretzel bread with little slices of hotdog stuff inside. Dip it in cheese, and it was amazing...

He's still mad that he's wrong about pizzas. It doesn't matter if the sausage is frozen or freshly prepared. Both are sausage pizzas. If not, they what do you call each one?

I echo this. I think because they aren't quite among the international big hitters, they use higher quality to gain market share.

Papa Johns - Can't morally eat there after the owners remarks that got him into hot water a few years ago
Dominos & Pizza Hut are almostly equally garbage
Little Caesers is so-so for the price you pay
I cant vouch for Donatos or Jets (east coast?)
and if we're talking about the same Unos.. their pizzas are way too salty

My fav chain was Pizza Haven back in Australia, not sure if they're still around, but it was good.

Pappa murphys is a chain, and you can put your own extra cheese/toppings on em (which means better ingredients then pretty much any other chain out there), so I'll go with that (especially if you have your own pizza stone).

In the old days you could get their 5$ favs (which includded pepporoni), then just add the other toppings (just cheese for me) on it, making a really good pizza for only $5....it was great.

Now the same thing is like $12 sigh...although that is still cheap for a pizza now adays.

Probably Pizza Hut.

Papa Johns - Haven't had it in probably a decade, but I don't recall liking it

Dominos - I like it, but I just don't like the pricing. Haven't had it in maybe 7 or 8 months.

Pizza Hut - Wish I had one around. Been a few years since I've had it, but I like it. A lot of the franchisees seem to have closed up shop over the years.

Little Caesars - The "Hot & Ready" slogan is lulz, but it's nice every once in a while. It's unbelievably greasy, etc, but sometimes that really hits the spot. It's also the only place with good pricing, even if the $5 deal is $5.55 or $6 in a lot of areas now. (Some of the more ghetto areas still have the $5 deal going. I blame gentrification!)

Donatos - Never heard of it. Apparently it's only active in 9 states and it looks like the nearest one might be either Virginia or... well, suffice to say, none are close.
https://www.donatos.com/company

Marco's - Never heard of it, but it looks really good... and the price seems reasonable. Nearest location is in PA, though.
https://www.marcos.com/

Jet's - Never heard of it, but the pizza looks terrible. Nearest location seems to be NYC and, if I'm in the city, I'm probably something else.
https://www.jetspizza.com/

Uno - While I'm not going to go into the whole "deep dish isn't real pizza," I'm not a fan of Chicago Uno. Last time I ate at one was at least 3 or 4 years ago.

Other chains not mentioned:

California Pizza Kitchen is crap. Supposedly it's in 30 states.

Planet Pizza is also terrible. Used to sometimes get dragged there when I worked in Stamford... and apparently it's exclusive to CT so none of youse guys will ever hafta deal with it.

lol, the founder was kicked out, so what's your objection? And technically the thing that really got him in hot water was criticizing another chain's owner for not getting in trouble over using the n-word... which probably wouldn't have raised an eyebrow if he hadn't gone ahead and used it himself when saying which word it was. At any rate, shouldn't you be supporting them in this case?

Otherwise the dude has an interesting backstory.

To me this is lunacy. In my area the big ones were papa johns, dominos, pizza hut and cici's. Papa johns and dominos were considered pretty good and pizza hut and cici's were considered cheap trash. I wonder if my area just has bad pizza huts or something.

It could be that. I know many places that were like that. Where I liked a certain chain. But theres a bad one in another area. But it also could be the taste of everyone there. If everyone there have a specific taste they like more, it could cause everyone to like a specific place more than the other. Also, peer pressure. When I was younger, people would make fun of certain people if they liked certain pizza chains. Or certain foods chains. Like what you liked more between McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendys. Or which pizza place between Pizza Hut, Dominos, and Papa John. That was mostly when people were in elementary school. But the effects could last for a lot longer...

I mean, if I could, I would. I wouldnt mind free pizza. Plus, I could try a bunch of different speciality pizzas. To me, pizza is like pasta. I consider them (among others) blank canvas foods. You can do so much with them. And give them so many different taste...

I mean that stuff is true, but it wasn't even really opinion. Even the places aknowledged it cause pizza hut and Cici's were much cheaper for the same amount of pizza. It's like they were low tier, papa johns and dominos were mid tier, and then real pizza places were top tier although I have cheap taste and like papa johns better than "good" pizza.

Tbh, I dont even know what qualifies as good pizza. Its good to me as long as it taste like pizza. Im not a pizza snob, nor do I act elitist when it comes to food. I just eat what I like and what taste good. Haha.

As for pizza chains, I know Papa Johns has always been a little more on the expensive side. And Cicis is usually cheap. But most people I know dont like them. A few do. I personally don.this really go there. I rarely order from Dominos, so I cant say much about their price. And I feel Pizza can be all over the place. But usually more than Cicis and less than Papa Johns. So that could explain the pricing. But Idk. If they really are a bad location, its possible they just lowered their price to get customers...
