I started feeling sick last Sunday, like really bad chest pain, but no cough or shortness of breath or anything. Then I went to doctor the next day and the covid test was negative, and he gave me some antibiotics and I got all better in 2 days, perfectly fine.

Then Saturday I started having some throat and slight cough, which got worse but still not terrible on Monday, where I went back to the doctor. They were out of rapid tests but he told me he didn't think it was COVID, but I should act like it is until I get the results back.

I got them back this morning and they were positive. My roommate is sick too, but no one else I've been around (which is still only a handful of people) are sick. Still, everyone got their test done, all long wait tests because everywhere is out of rapid tests.

It's just so weird. I was sure I didn't have it because I still barely felt sick, never had any shortness of breath after a week, have only gotten better, and just don't feel sick. I also have been doing everything right, always wearing a mask, always sanitizing my hands, not going hardly anywhere or seeing hardly anyone.

It just frustrates me that I've done what I'm supposed to, changed how I live, everything, and I get sick and have to miss 2 weeks of work and school, but then so many other people don't give a shit, don't wear their mask, go out and drink and party and whatnot with others who are the same way, and they're fine. How the fuck do I get it?

Many people who get it don't have any symptoms, but they're still spreading it. That's what makes it such a big problem.

COVID 19 doesn't give a shit what you do that's why. From hiding behind your sofa 24/7 to going to a rave IF you get it you get it and that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

When you practice social distancing, you act as though you are already sick in order to protect others, and others are supposed to do the same for you. When someone else doesn't do it right, it's you that's in danger, because they are likely getting it all over surfaces if not on other people directly.

Incidentally, this is why anger against anti-maskers is very much justified, because when they refuse to follow protocol, they aren't endangering themselves; they're endangering everyone else.

I believe I had it back in Feb
Had a bad cough through the entire month, just felt like shit for the entire month. Got pink eye, cleared up quickly with antibiotics) but they say that is a symptom i think its cause it weakens your immune system.
But over the last few months, I have been experiencing one of the post covid symptoms, tight chest/chest pain.

I'm probably never going to get a test because those tests seems to be inconsistent as heck.

I also generally tend to stay inside all day anyway(even before the pandemic) so my risks of getting infected is pretty low.
