I started feeling sick last Sunday, like really bad chest pain, but no cough or shortness of breath or anything. Then I went to doctor the next day and the covid test was negative, and he gave me some antibiotics and I got all better in 2 days, perfectly fine.

Then Saturday I started having some throat and slight cough, which got worse but still not terrible on Monday, where I went back to the doctor. They were out of rapid tests but he told me he didn't think it was COVID, but I should act like it is until I get the results back.

I got them back this morning and they were positive. My roommate is sick too, but no one else I've been around (which is still only a handful of people) are sick. Still, everyone got their test done, all long wait tests because everywhere is out of rapid tests.

It's just so weird. I was sure I didn't have it because I still barely felt sick, never had any shortness of breath after a week, have only gotten better, and just don't feel sick. I also have been doing everything right, always wearing a mask, always sanitizing my hands, not going hardly anywhere or seeing hardly anyone.

It just frustrates me that I've done what I'm supposed to, changed how I live, everything, and I get sick and have to miss 2 weeks of work and school, but then so many other people don't give a shit, don't wear their mask, go out and drink and party and whatnot with others who are the same way, and they're fine. How the fuck do I get it?
