First, he's discussing legislation he wasn't involved in (nor was any Republican or Democrat involved in -- it was put forward by an Independent in Maine) because he's the majority leader and that's his job. Second, considering that Democrats just blocked a COVID relief bill that would give Americans $400 more in unemployment every week, in addition to other benefits, what's really left? The Democrats will likely block most real legislation right not to exacerbate America's problems as a political maneuver to give them a greater advantage in the coming presidential election (and the Republicans would likely do the same in their shoes, because politics sucks).

you seem to be ignoring the house COVID bill that was not voted on. care to explain that, and who is to blame?

How bout the republicans include some direct payments to their constituents as part of their covid relief bills and then we'll talk about how the democrats are doing since the democrats are pushing for exactly that.

Meaning what? It had unemployment benefits (which helps those out of work) and more funding for the PPP (which helps those still working). Were you just looking for another stimulus check? Because that would just be a one-time measure that provides a smaller benefit than these other programs and doesn't convey the same concrete benefits as these other programs.
