I enjoy it as a game, it's a very calm, relaxing sandbox to explore and mess around with Layle's gravity powers and seeing how he can interact with the world in unique ways, all together with a really great OST that fits the vibe.

But it's one of those games that I really can't just recommend others to play - it's not for everyone, and it's not without issues - rolling to move faster can be frustratingly unresponsive (wiimote shake), if you're a completionist, farming mats can be irritating and there's at least one glitched achievement that is possible but the detection of it is rare so you gotta just... try a ton

Also I mean, yeah it's a motion control game so you gotta be fine with basic wiimote motion controls, and yes, there's a bunch of mini-games (Awakened Beast in particular is... very excruciating on replays. Maybe not so bad on the first playthrough but oh god trying to get the gold medal for time makes you wanna jump off a cliff)

I do really like the main crew, and it's a short 'n sweet 15hr RPG main-story (my movie is made from a 5.5hr NG+ speedrun, with gameplay sped up to bring it down to 3.5hr).

Hm, I might look up some gameplay or watch the first bit of your movie to get a feel for the game and see if it'd be worth trying out. It does sound like it could be fun, typical Wii control issues aside. Thanks for the info, honestly I'd never even heard of this game and figured it'd just be another dungeon crawler based on the title. Who knows, maybe they'll remaster this one too.
