No but it does take skill. But in my mind it's not a sport if the other competitor(s) are unable to affect your performance directly. Otherwise it's just a competition to see whose skills are better. A sport is when a person or a team tried to accomplish a goal and the other person or team is trying to stop them from doing so, and vice versa.
