Brandi has records for the worst a lot of things. If you didn't follow Dark and the tag tournament, you wouldn't understand just how god awful she is. She is literally the only person in AEW I never want to see.

I'd rather watch fucking Luther. Because at least I know his character. I still don't know if Brandi is supposed to be heel or face.

I will say in that match she was... slightly below serviceable? It wasn't the worst thing I watched.

Oh dammit. Animal was awesome. Got to get a signed copy of the Road Warrior biography too, and it was an awesome read. I remember they were staples of that LJN Super Wrestlemania game, and then that Chicago Street Fight. Wasn't the greatest match ever (I mean, Ahmed was in it), but it was just chaos personified. I remember it was one of those smoke extinguisher types and everyone just got COVERED in shit.

I was really worried for Miro's leg there for a while. Definitely looked like he hurt it for real. As for Miro... Kinda had the same Cardona vibe.

And Jesus Eddie Kingston is the best. Just the greatest. They're making this a show-long storyline too. Great, great stuff.

Exceptionally sloppy Dynamite tonight.

Miro looked pretty average (but at least not Cardona JAG kiss of death average) and needed a lucky break to beat Joey Janela.

Ivelisse sandbagged and refused to sell for a 2nd show in a row, so hopefully she's gone. Poor Diamante. Feels like we're building to Shida/Rosa 2.

Orange Cassidy had NO chemistry with Brodie Lee. Brodie simply isn't athletic enough to bump all over the place the way Cassidys match style demands and aside from a hot 2 minute stretch at the end this was really poorly worked. Also the Dark Order shenanigans were so over the top and all done in full view of the ref.

Hangman/Uno was actually a solid match, though the Dark Order stuff was stupid. They were seemingly there to beat down Hangman and force Kenny to show his colors but then that didnt happen at all and Hangman just won.

Mox/Kingston was great. Hard hitting G1 style slugfest.

The angles on this show were solid with Cody returning and Brodies promo and the simmering inner circle vs Matt Hardy and FTR vs Best Friends issues. Plus the wild brawl to close the show.

Also Sean Ross Sapp says a huge chunk of the roster missed the show for some reason. Unclear whether covid or something else.

I like Dark Order probably a lot more than you. I think they work a lot better now, but I agree with most everything else you said. Mox and Kingston was so damn good and I can't wait until we see them go at it again.

But you'll have a sloppy Dynamite with so many people missing, unfortunately. Especially since it appears to have been last minute this happened. From what I have seen, they had to change a lot of stuff last minute. You know, like WWE does. But they actually have a valid reason to do so.

There's a huge outbreak of Covid with WWE right now apparently. And it looks like AEW is having their own outbreak too, but it doesn't appear to be happening at the shows as you can't even be in contact with other people at the shows until you test negative for Covid. If I had to guess, there may have been people spending time together between tapings, and they could have just told some people to just stay home out of precaution. They've been very careful about that thusfar like when QT Marshall potentially had it and a lot of his students who trained with him since then were told to stay home. It's weird they're being quiet about it though.

What's fortunate for AEW is that they do two weeks worth of shows, so if anyone does end up with Covid, it takes two weeks for it to pass.

From what people have said, the obvious people who were out were Archer, Cage, Butcher & Blade, Reynolds, Stu Grayson, and Nick Jackson. I'm sure there are others, but it feels like the 6 man tag was thrown out because both Cage and Archer were out, and they couldn't really cobble together two more members to help out poor Ricky Starks, hence the angle we got tonight with the Lucha Bros. It was also said Cody wasn't supposed to return for another couple weeks.

It's just inevitable this will crop up because Florida is a disaster.

So it's looking like the issue may have stemmed from them doing indy dates where people aren't getting tested and they aren't staying out of contact with fans.

I'm feeling like AEW might tell talent they can't do indy dates until this is under control at this point.

Many of their contracts were signed contingent they could continue doing indies, so it's more complicated than just saying "Stop taking indy bookings and for the love of God don't do meet n greets what's wrong with you?"

I'm willing to give Miro some time to see how he shakes out with the wedding thing. I have to think this isn't how they wanted him to debut in-ring but PLANS CHANGED because of an epidemic that's, according to reports, going through all wrestling talent in Florida right now.

It's looking like a couple people got Covid and it started to spread when they were co-mingling. Apparently an AEW guy was slamming White Claws in a bar with a WWE talent on Instagram and they both have Covid? Not sure who it is.

Edit: There's also word that the one in WWE is actually worse than the big outbreak they had before.
