Yeah, it's extremely baffling that he's taken the stance he did on Matt Hardy and it's obvious he was just touting the AEW company line.

The Ivelisse stuff is just outrageous. Sean Ross spoke to both Ivelisse and Thunder Rosa who both said there was no cooperation in their match and then Meltzer is reporting that there wasn't anything wrong with the match at all and that they worked totally fine together, and then he's putting down Sean Ross's reporting of it like he's wrong when he reached out and spoke to both Ivelisse and Thunder Rosa.

And then fuck everything with Matt Riddle, for real. Meltzer painted it like Riddle is the victim and he's completely in the right, completely stripping the reality of what happened in Candy Cartwright's defense where her lawyer just tore apart all of Riddle's claims. And he acted like Riddle was just being benevolent by dropping it, and trashing on people for thinking otherwise.

All of these things were within a month of each other and it's just ridiculous. He's obviously had his biases, but he's just denying the reality of what we're seeing in front of us at this point.

Roman Reigns is getting new music, plans to wrestle shirtless

Last month we first reported here on WrestlingNews.co that there was talk of Roman Reigns getting updated gear and that there was talk of him wrestling without a shirt.
Reigns confirmed this last night during a Zoom call with a fan. According to what was said on the call, Reigns plans on keeping the pants but he will wrestle shirtless and the idea is to establish a Mafia-style storyline. He also said that there is new theme music coming at some point.
Other notes from the call:
Roman said Retribution has a long way to go before they can get on his level
He said fans should expect a new render after Sundays Clash of Champions
Roman wants fans to let his storyline play out because he and Paul Heyman are basically in control over their storyline.
Roman joked about Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose having multiple personalities.
He said he misses the fans and cant wait to see them at shows again.
He said that he has new music but it wont debut until the time is right in the storyline. He also noted that he chose his new music.

TL/DR: Mafia storyline, new music, Samoan man boobs, good guy fans, creative control

You know, I was thinking. You could actually probably do this Retribution storyline and make it interesting. Just have them destroying shit. Have them be guys who ought to be disgruntled with how they were used, as perceived by the fans.

Like, this could have been used to make instant stars but they're all fucking losers and geeks. The lack of creativity with this is just mind-blowing to me. I don't understand how they take an idea and just make it as lame as possible. It has to take more effort than making something cool.

WWE did a stip breaking up the Iconics and everyone hated it, they made Peyton completely turn heel, then Peyton beats Billie. And this week they're back to being best friends but aren't allowed to tag together? Maybe they shouldn't knee jerk break up a team for literally no reason.

And then the main event match with Retribution, instead of giving the new group a rub to make them look good, was to have them be disqualified because the illegal man in a tag hit the legal one? Who thought that was a good idea? Lol If you don't want them to beat the Hurt Business, have Retribution beat anyone else.

Well, I think part of the reason we all thought it was a heel turn is because it immediately followed them breaking up, as opposed to randomly while they're tagging.

While this is true, they've done it to each other before, tossing each other in against people like Ronda and Nia, which I forgot about. It's why I'm just like "whatever" on it but still don't care because it's 100x worse than just pushing them as a team.

EDIT: Maybe it was Shayna and not Ronda. I don't remember. And I don't really care to argue it because the end result is still "this is stupid" regardless.
