Superman vs. Goku (Extremely Powerful Warriors)



Superman and Goku are arguably the strongest fictional characters of all-time at least potentially speaking, and in terms of popularity. This rivalry comes down, not to the characters themselves, but to their respective fanbases.

The debate of who would win in a fight has been so long and so strong that it has featured multiple artworks, videos, analyses, and rap battles.

The argument that Superman supporters use is that he can have unlimited power via the sun But Goku has surpassed his limits time and time again, to the point of becoming one of the strongest god warriors of the universes (yes, universes). Who knows, maybe one day Toriyama and DC can meet up someday and discuss the idea -Advokaiser

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (Godzilla)



King Ghidorah (, Kingu Gidora) is a fictional monster, or kaiju, which first appeared in Ishir Honda's 1964 film Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster. Although the name of the character is officially trademarked by Toho as "King Ghidorah", the character was originally referred to as Ghidorah or Ghidrah in some English markets.

Although King Ghidorah's design has remained largely consistent throughout its appearances (an armless, bipedal, golden-scaled, bat-winged dragon with three heads and two tails), its origin story has varied from being an extraterrestrial planet-killing dragon, a genetically engineered monster from the future, a guardian monster of ancient Japan or a god from another dimension. The character is usually portrayed as an archenemy of Godzilla and a foe of Mothra, though it has had one appearance as an ally of the latter.

Despite rumors that Ghidorah was meant to represent the threat posed by China, which had at the time of the character's creation just developed nuclear weapons, director Ishir Honda denied the connection and stated that Ghidorah was simply a modern take on the dragon Yamata no Orochi. -Wikipedia

WWE vs. WCW (Monday Night Wars)



The Monday Night Wars were a period of mainstream televised American professional wrestling where the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF, now WWE) Monday Night Raw and World Championship Wrestling's (WCW) Monday Nitro were broadcast opposite each other in a battle for Nielsen ratings each week. The ratings war lasted from September 4, 1995, to March 26, 2001.

The rating war was part of a larger overall struggle between the two companies, originating in personal animosity between WWF owner Vince McMahon and WCW owner Ted Turner. The rivalry between the companies steadily escalated throughout the 1990s to include the use of cutthroat tactics and the defections of employees between the two companies.

WCW ultimately ran into financial difficulties as a result of the amount of money they had promised wrestlers during a hiring binge in the early and middle part of the decade, which had been aimed at acquiring large portions of the WWF's talent roster. Despite efforts to salvage the company, it was ultimately sold to Vince McMahon, ending the Monday Night Wars.

In retrospect, wrestling commentators have come to see the era of the Monday Night Wars as the golden age of wrestling, with the feud between the two companies bringing out their best quality product both in terms of creativity and the performances of their wrestlers. -Wikipedia

Super Nintendo Entertainment System vs. Sega Genesis/Mega Drive (Console War)



Back in the 90s, when Sega decided to try and surmount the juggernaut that was Nintendo and its best-selling successor to the NES, the Super Nintendo, it went full-throttle into making sure its own console, the Genesis, gave a huge whack-to-the-head at Nintendo. And though it didnt surmount Nintendo, it made a huge impact to the game industry.

Despite this not being the first console war out there, since there were actually multiple competitors since the Pong days, this was probably the biggest rivalry in history regarding videogame companies, both in intensity and quality, although Sony and Microsoft really have an ego big enough to try to imitate it. -Advokaiser
