There probably are people who legit think that attacking the face model is fine. But publicizing it will inevitably lead to copycats and trolls doing it for the lulz. Doubly so if a certain group gets generalized and shit on. It's a tale as old as time. It sucks but there's not a lot of recourse because the internet and anonymity in general doesn't lend itself to repercussions. Twitter will suspend those accounts. The model will get messages of support. Articles will be written. In a few days all will be forgotten. It's not fair to the model. Victims of internet outrage rarely get the justice they deserve. In rare occasions you can find someone's real info tied back to their twitter account. Then the vigilantism can begin.

Agreed, most of the time it's best to ignore crap like this because while there are legitimate losers butt hurt over nothing, there are those trolls who participate either because of the memes or just to get a reaction. I can only see trolling increasing more and more with this pandemic going on because there are literally people staying at home being bored.

I'm often reminded of Kelly Marie Tran getting targeted for TLJ and that being used to associate some critique (such as poor character development) as attacks on her personally. I hate that fucking movie but for many of the actors and people working on it, it was just a means of getting paid and there's nothing wrong with that.

No he isn't. You're one of those people he's talking about who don't get it.

He's not there to debate the quality of his work with you. These people don't have to make a distinction or even defend their work on social media while dealing with harassment. It's not relevant. Online abuse is a much bigger issue than a film or video game being bad.

There's nothing wrong with what Druckmann said either. Again they do not need to make a distinction between people harassing people and people disliking their work. You're throwing yourself in with them more than they are.

My issue with this is that I've seen a LOT of vitriol on Twitter basically boiling down all critique as being from incels and other unfortunate titles, or from people who aren't interested in the game without understanding WHY they're no longer interested, and even then that usually leads into the vitriol I mentioned

And people here have been citing Daily Mail so long I can't even tell if it's the real deal or not anymore lol
