Honestly, I'm not sure there's anything to look forward to. The lockdowns don't look like they're going to end any time soon so the holidays -- including Halloween -- are fucked. The somewhat colder weather will be nicer for walking, I guess, and towards the end of the year a few trails start to become a lot more tolerable since bug activity dies down. But I mean, this year is a fucking mess. Granted, it's worse in CT than a lot of other states because we have a bonehead governor who wasn't qualified for this office or the dozens of offices he lost election for before winning the primary because the only other candidate had gone to prison for corruption.
