This is true, especially when you consider that the version we got is missing a character from the original Japanese release because the Italian license-holder of that character refused to play ball. For the SJ side people would constantly demand every DBZ/One Piece/HxH character in it, while omitting several other iconic series I'm surprised there hasn't been a Jump vs. Capcom already, but I'd imagine that the rights for the various Jump franchises are even more tied-up than the Tatsunoko ones.
