regarding idols: the current community plan is to get all five of the Unlimited Tacos' pitchers above the red line (currently this has been achieved, but they would need to stay above it until the end of game 99 in theory)

the idea goes that if they're all above the red line, all five will be Shelled, and then the team will have no one to pitch when they're fielding.

I dont understand that chart. I also dont know why they think all players above the line will be shelled, they didnt happen last time, did it?

last time all players who weren't peanuts were Shelled (Nagomi McDaniel and Jessica Telephone). it's important to note that the line fell below rank 3, which corresponded to the number of players with "Peanut" in their name (Peanut Bong, Peanutiel Duffy, and Peanut Holloway). Peanut Bong was above the line, and was not Shelled, so you're right on that point. this season the line falls below rank 10, and it's not clear what significance this has yet. something entirely different could happen

the chart just divides the teams evenly between pitchers to suggest who someone should idolize, i.e. if your team is the Flowers, the suggestion is to idolize Patel Beyonce

The one problem I was seeing with the plan is that they were also planning to get all three Peanuts above the line, which Im pretty sure will result in nobody getting Shelled at all

Popular By Association: steal a random player from the Idol Leaderboard
Lottery Pick: steal the 14th Most Idolized Player
Blind Date: steal the 21st Most Idolized Player

If anyone wins this and the Tacos' pitchers are in any of those positions, or if the Tacos win one of these Blessings and steal a pitcher, the Tacos will be able to pitch again

You eat them. Make sure to buy the Squirrel so you can eat 2 at a time!

it doesn't really matter anymore but originally they were for atoning: "If at any time the Fans have angered the Blaseball Gods, they may atone by eating one million Peanuts [collectively]." (from the book; 5e)
unfortunately some people tried to hack in peanuts, which caused the big Peanutto show up, and the option to atone via Peanuts has since been removed, basically. i don't think there's really a clear use for them now besides eating for fun now that we all have 10000 more of them

so uh, bunch of new stuff

decree that passed was bless off, so the top 4 teams (crabs, breath mints, shoe thieves, and jazz hands) couldnt win any blessings

miami dale won the closed circuit blessing. electric type blood apparently has a chance of "zapping away strikes" so we'll have to see how that goes

hawaii fridays won the shame bubble blessing, so every team not in the mild low division got shamed

there's a new feature called the "hall of flame" which lists all incinerated players. currently has a blue line after 14 players, which is the same number of players on a team...players are organized in order of tribute paid. tribute is paid with peanuts

The Tacos received a Pitching Machine to cover their rotations duties. Functionally its just a player named Pitching Machine with three stars in every stat except baserunning.

Thats a pretty good thing for them.

It would be more mechanically interesting if Pitching Machine had a status that made it unable to throw out runners who attempt a steal, without otherwise altering the frequency of steal attempts, and if it had zero in all stats besides Pitching. It would still be an upgrade for the Tacos since their Rotation was so bad before, aside from Pothos.
