Literally every time I have bet 1000 on the Crabs in a heavily favored matchup they have lost except for once, I was actually keeping track of this. Guess I should continue doing it so they get knocked down a peg

Yeah in general it's fine, it's just funny that every time I bet max on the Crabs, the team with by far the least losses, in a heavily-favored matchup, that's the time they happen to lose.

For the first fifteen or so minutes after the final round ended the site was just the giant peanut saying NO HALF MEASURES WHO IS TELEPHONE? STRIKE THREE ONE MORE TO GO and etc

It is assumed something would have happened if all three players with Peanut in their name were above the red line in the Idols list but only one made it in time

Crabs already guaranteed to win again next season. I guess maybe if the Fourth Strike puts in a lot of work for the Jazz Hands they could take it too. Jaylen Hotdogfingers went to the Garages and has two new status effects, "Returned" and "Debted"

Now there are two living players who are not associated with a team, wonder what happens to them next

Looks like it will, but since they swapped out their worst player and the shelled player just gets skipped in rotation, it was still a boost for them. Now that bad player isn't getting outs when they're at bat.

Also, the Bloodbath was postponed, as a "consolation prize" for getting one peanut at the top of the idolized list.

How do the percentages work in terms if winning bids? The highest bidder someones by a lot seems to not win?

Right, because it's a raffle. Having the highest percentage doesn't guarantee you win, it means you have the best odds of winning.

A team won a blessing with 0% before (presumably a number so small that it was rounded down rather than up)

Someone pointed out today that a player has been switched for their alternate reality version twice, but did not change back to their original stats as a result. The fact that Alternate is a status effect and the wording on it kind of implied that it should work that way, though. I had been hoping there would be a way to get original Yazmin Mason back but it sounds like thats not possible.

The Garages won the Lottery Pick Blessing, and Jaylen Hotdogfingers came back. They have two new permanent modifications: Returned (from the void) and Debted.

Mike Townsend was sent to the shadows to open up a spot for Hotdogfingers.

The Spies won Party Line, replacing Donia Bailey with an alternate of the Fridays' Evelton McBlase (named Evelton McBlase II). They have slightly worse stats than the original McBlase.

this season's decrees are really good news for teams not doing so well:

Fifth Base - The Top 4 Teams of the Regular Season must run an extra base next season.
Walk in the Park - The Top 4 Teams of the Regular Season will walk batters on the 3rd Ball of an At-Bat instead of the 4th next season. (i.e. if your team is against one of the top 4, you only need three balls for a walk)
Bless Off - The Top 4 Teams of the Regular Season cannot win blessings in this Election.

So what's up with the Crabs, what teams have they been playing so far? Unusual amount of losses for how strong they are.

Anyway, I wanted to share my two theories about the Shelled status. First one I came up with is that they will remain Shelled until they are incinerated, which will burn up the shell but the player will remain unscathed. Second theory is that the peanut shell is actually an egg and the players will eventually emerge changed in some way.

Unlucky bounces early on. It's a long season, they'll regress to the mean sooner or later.

Cookbook and Scorpler had both been hit by Jaylen Hotdogfingers a few games prior. Some people thought that maybe an effect would occur if an already Unstable player was hit by another pitch, but that is clearly not the case.

Tigers mostly make it out of Election Day safely, but then weather effects constantly screw us over. Frasier Shmurmgle seems alright but still can't measure up to Moody Cookbook

Are the Flowers the worst team in history this week?

Lots of Birds finally did something: they pecked Jessica Telephone free from her shell. Its probably too late for her and the Pies to reach the playoffs though so this might be a net negative when the bloodbath comes, if her presence puts them ahead in their division.
