Curse of Crows - occasionally attacked by birds (deshelling)
Subjection - players leaving the team will gain Liberated modification
Pity - "This team is holding back, out of pity."
Destruction - applies five curses to the other team

His the heck did the Shoe Thieves come back?! They were down 2-0 to the Crabs. Then in game 5 I last saw then losing 4-2 in the 6th.

All the other pitchers on the Shoe Thieves also got that Mild status, and the hitters all have Flinch: "Hitters with Flinch cannot swing until a strike has been thrown in the At Bat." This must be the curse the Shelled One's Pods gave them for losing

I notice all the Shelled One's players besides Trololol became hitters even if they were pitchers before. Maybe just because they didn't need a pitching rotation since they only played one game?

Wow. Flinch is pretty powerful. Shoe Thieves are not going to do too well I reckon. And yeah, Crabs are OP.

Damn, the one and only blessing that I especially didn't want the Crabs or anyone in Wild High to get is exactly the one the Crabs got

All these players from the Shadows seem to be not great, bit of a waste for those teams to get.

Tacos just keep making their roster smaller and smaller, it's pretty funny

Flowers have eleven batters ugh.

Every team got new status effects on three players related to the weather effects that got voted for. One is a Fire Eater, which rather than being incinerated will eat the fire and become "Magmatic." The player that got this effect hit a home run, maybe that's a guarantee at their next At-Bat or something. Next is the Siphon, who drains stats during Blooddrain more frequently and can also drain it into other things (the time we've seen this so far the stats were drained into an Out). One pitcher on each team got Friend of Crows which allows them to command crows to run players off the bases, resulting in an out for them. Since all the Lovers have Love blood type they all have the ability to Charm players. In the case of pitchers, they can charm hitters to instantly swing three times and get out at the plate. Hitters can charm the pitcher to give them a walk.

Love seems OP status effect.

On the discord one of the developers confirmed that because 4th base to home is a farther distance than other bases, it will be more difficult for runners to reach home from 4th base. Steals to home and sacrifice flies will be less common as a result, but also it will be easier to steal 4th base from 3rd because the 4th base is farther away from the catcher.

Finally saw a Mild Pitch, it allowed all runners to advance, but there was only one runner on fourth base so I dont know if it is just one base or not.

Interesting phenomenon noticed by folks who record stats is that Flinch seems to have largely helped the Shoe Thieves. Since they wont swing until a strike, it means they dont swing at pitches outside the strike zone if there hasnt been a strike yet, and usually rack up a few balls that they otherwise wouldnt. As a result 7 of their hitters are in the top 10 most-walked this season.

And how often that happens

If the game log just says strike that means they swung. If it says strike, looking that means the pitch was in the strike zone and they didnt swing. Thats straight from real baseball

Yes but at that point it's irrelevant where the pitch was located. If the batter swings and does not make contact, that's a strike. The pitch could be in the orbit of Neptune; if they swung, it's a strike.

Also, Flowers players all have Grass blood which is supposed to make them grow up to 5% each season. I havent noticed any changes in their stats this week though. Useless. And can we at least get rid of these Blood Winner curses and whatnot? They make it impossible to get better!

The wording on Growth blood type sounds like it makes them play better over time but not permanently boost their stats
