If you catch on to what Im doing please keep to yourself. Its a three part series Im doing.

so yeah thisll be three parts.
I just think itll be fun and if it goes well Ill do more stuff like this.

part one: the love interests life story/history/meeting. I initially said personality here but thats tomorrow oops spoilers

the main character is a prince. He has royal blood and was raised as such, but he is a confidence, component leader. People follow him because he respects his people, and they return that.
he forms his own militia to keep his people safe, and is a natural and charismatic leader. He also heads his own militia, never giving an order he wouldnt execute himself.
However he can be awkward and shy one on one, and he doesnt always know how to handle situations. He is also a bit absentminded and will do basic tasks wrong despite being proficient.

okay! Love interests.

1-Little sisters best friend. She knew him for a while. She is a noble lady, not a princess though. She is incredibly prim and proper and values manners and etiquette and proper speech. She marries him and sets her sights on getting that awkwardness out of him and making him a proper prince (and always stays A proper brother to her best friend)

2-shes an elite soldier in his army, but also joined his militia. She is very clumsy and good at cooking, and also likes to do flower fortune telling. She cooks for him constantly, and they marry upon realizing she can take care of him and his family.

3-she is one of the top knights in his militia and army. Shes a bit masculine and tough, but this isnt something she wants to change. However it doesnt mean she doesnt occasionally like to feel like a lady. She develops feelings over the story and ultimately marries him upon the realization that he doesnt need a girl princess.

4a traveling dancer from a neighboring country. This country has a good relationship with the MCs, in fact the MC fights for their leader on more than one occasion. He helps leader A, who is rivals with leader B, but B is a close personal friend; B also is the person who saves and employees this woman and they owe their meeting to B. Meets the MC later in life then 1-3 and falls on love the moment she sees him but doesnt act on it believing a common dancer cant marry a prince. They fall in love hard and fast, and he says he doesnt care who believes that.

5-an amnesiac. She turns out to be connected to the lead villain of the story, and is an obstacle that could cause the hero his life. Still, he values their friendship more than fate, and vows to change their fate. She is the tactician of his army, and an outsider to the kingdom. Their mutual respect and friendship grows into love after he spots her bathing, and she does the same to him, realizing their friendship has also bred mutual attraction.

so given only this, which relationship do you prefer for the main character?

Been conflating them with characters from a certain something and then connected them to the one I never actually "experienced", so I guess I already know more than what was given.

I know why and how it matters in 4, but no idea if it is really that important in 13.

all that matters in 13 is that it happens and not who why or how. Thats why I chose this one, context and consequence means nothing so its all just preference

Stat yes, skills yes. Children inherit the last skill from parents except the boys who inherits RK no matter what from MC and I makes reference to a thing that no other potential children do, but he is like a NG+ option as the game makes it hard to attain that option if you dont know its possible

Obivously he should start a harem with all of them.

Well 1 is noble, 2 and 3 are high ranking knights, and 5 is his grand tactician.

So only 4 isnt connected to the royal house

Only one series ever bothers using the word tactician. I researched this choice so much at the time I lost interest in finishing the game. I think I chose 5 but it was entirely a gameplay decision.

Dont vote for gameplay please!! Mine is meant to be totally seperste from that and this Aspect shouldnt look at personality or other things from the franchise.

I mean, if not for gameplay than only love/compatibility matters. The background someone is from is borderline meaningless here. Oh well lets try anyway.

1 - sounds annoying as hell. Prim and proper is obnoxious and he has the will of the people behind him in a time of revolution. Marrying for any sense of current royalty is completely meaningless and might even give influence to people in her family which doesn't benefit the prince.

2 - How can you be clumsy but also a good cook and soldier? She is nurturing but that alone isn't nearly enough considering how eligible and charismatic this prince is. Basically all that stuff should just get you in the door but ya need more. Any kind of fortune telling is also annoying.

3 - Probably the best of the people tied to royal houses. Strong enough to govern on her own and whatnot.

4 - Fuck dancers. At least pick up a knife or something.

5 - Outsider to the royal bickering, stronger and more flexible than all the others on the battlefield. Smarter than everyone else being the tactician that leads them to victory. Arguably the sole reason the prince is not only successful but even alive at all like 20 times over. The true hero. The strongest possible babies. Dark magic.

Lets be real. The ONLY reason not to choose 5 is because 5 is so good that it's almost a waste to pair them with the prince if you want to optimize all babies for your future death squad,

A shame you can't pair this version of 5 with the time traveler.

Not entirely a fan of any of the options.

I'd probably lean more into contrasting his nobility/royalty by making her a commoner, which also complicates any relationship between them. She winds up resenting him for being a royal because she feels like the nobility oppresses the people (no matter how benign he actually is), and they're basically spitfire rival types before they grow into a mutual understanding and respect that become camaraderie, and then ultimately, love.

It doesn't help that this feels like a very JRPGy question, and I dislike relationships in most JRPGs because the Japanese and I don't really agree on what the ideal woman is.

Picked 4 as the least bad option. 1 and 5 feel a bit awkward and creepy, and 2 and 3 feel like abuse of power/authority situations. 4 isn't much better - it feels way too overcomplicated as presented (even if it does play into the commoner angle I like). But I suspect I wouldn't want to romance any of those characters based on personality alone in any given game.

So I vote for whichever one has the hottest dialogue sprite.

jokes on you 4 does wield a sword. Travelling dancers need protection.

my personal issue with 5 is thst its stronger when its platonic and making it romantic actually makes their relationship a cliche instead of a rare platonic but deep bond.

way more people caught on than I thought, but thanks for not spilling on to my project! Also I promise that tomorrow Im going to do a deep dive on personality and relationship building While today was more of an intro!
