dude obviously grew up in a more urban area so using the n word (ending with a) was probably used very casually around him and none of the other folk got mad at him for using it. This is what the SJW people dont get. Its all about context. they come into more urban dominated communities like the FGC, with their fancy college background and start telling people off for not speaking 'proper' and gentrifying it.

Sure, I knew people of all races growing up who used it, including white people. Its not a huge part of my vocabulary but it has slipped out before when Im excited. No one has ever minded.

The problem comes from people who use the hard R version to stoke hatred, not people who just use it as a replacement for bro or person.

Thing is the ER version has always been bad even back when people use A casually to mean bro/person/friend. Everyone knew the difference and treated it as such

nowadays even the A version is condemned. Even worse still, retroactively where people are getting called out for using it 15+ years ago even if it wasnt used in the malicious context.

Sure, maybe, but the problem is that (sometimes) they're very hard to distinguish in conversation. To say nothing of intentions. Is it just a casual term? Then there should be no problem with everyone using it. Or are there some racist connotations in it (hint: yes, usually there are)? Then nobody should use it.

That's not proof of anything other than trash comes in all shapes and sizes.

I don't get what the goal of this topic is. The large majority of people being fired for saying the N word are always suburban white folk that are obviously using it maliciously. People who try to call out guys like this usually end up like the other guy in the video. Looking for an exit and then not being heard from again. None of the people who cry about that guy actually live in those neighborhoods and have any reach. Is that guy fired or something? Cause if he is, Ill walk this right the fuck back.

I understand the difference. That's why I say some people are justified in saying it. But the difference is not in the word, it's in the people and the way they use the word.

The way they use it is VERY distinct between the words. That's the whole thing. You're just contradicting yourself when you say it's the way they use it. Because the way they use it is reflected directly in what word they use. You'd have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find the words used with reverse intention.

Its a word used amongst other PoC. If you are a PoC who grew up in a more lower socioeconomic urban or multicultural community you would 'get it'. Pretty much all PoC that grew up in more urban areas are honorary blacks and use the word casually with no consequences and 'understand' its use. Its only white people who get confused when they see Latinos and Asians use the word like its no big deal and who get confused that they dont get backlash for it as they seem to expect. Its only those same white people who stepped in and deemed it to be bad. They basically gentrified the word.
