I have no idea and I don't care. They deserve more money regardless of whether or not their productivity will improve.

If the customers were better and they were paid a bit more I think it would help.

Spend a few months or so, at least, in the food industry and youll realize a lot of it is because of the customers.

They get paid min wage cause they can easily be replaced and training is quick. Generally the owner of the restaurant decides what they wanna pay not the franchisee. A private restaurant might pay more if they want you to be a certain quality.

this is location dependent and probably has more to do with management and training than wages.

society wont stop looking down on fast food workers just because they make more money, so its unlikely.

but regardless, they do deserve higher wages.

Yeah, the customers play a role in it too. They treat the employees like doormats since they know they can get away with it. They can fucking scream and swear at workers and receive an apology and complimentary food in return because managers don't want to deal with them.

If the customers were more respectful, and they were paid more, then they might put more effort into it. Also if they had better looking uniforms. I hated wearing those stupid uniforms at McDonald's. GameStop was nice since all we needed was a collared shirt, long pants (jeans were fine), and covered shoes.
