Sakurai has loads of clout in the Japanese dev world. The fact that so many IPs are even in Smash in any capacity is a marvel. I think there are rumors of that happening anyways. There is still an audience for Castlevania given the success of Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, and so on. I'm sure people would lap up another Metal Gear Solid especially if Kojumbo was on board. Maybe start releasing more classic compilations like the Castlevania one, and localize some games that haven't been like most of the Ganbare Goemon titles. Other companies have been localizing old NES and SNES era games for the first time. Yeah. They have a deep bag of games. They could easily release their old games on the Switch or Steam.
